Gaucho Grill

I normaly dont go out of my way to write a negitive review but my experience here deserves one. To start off the experiance my party of 5 arived on time to our reservation and it seems as if they were unprepared for us. We were seated in a hastily slapped together table in front of the bus station and kitchen. I requested at that time to wait for a booth to become available and the host said "Sure, it will be 15 minutes. Would you like to sit at this table while you wait?" We sat down and he brought us some bread 🖒. Moments later another waitress (turned out to be our waitress for the night) told us" I'm going to need you to go wait by the by the door till your table is ready." When I told her we were invited to wait here till our table was ready she replied "I'll need to go check with my manager" I would have understood if there were people waiting for a table or if we took the last open table but this was not the case. We ordered drinks and our meals then waited between 30-40 min for our food to arive. I like long dinners and dont complain when food takes a while but I do wish we were offered refills on our drinks and bread while we waited. Argentinian cuisine is known for its flavorful steaks, sausages, and chicken. We orderd a variety of these dishes at the suggestion of the waitress. Suprisingly the only food that came out someway tasty was the rosemarry roasted vegetables (even though there was no rosemarry),chorizo , the rice. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box. The half grilled chicken was very dry. Both the filet mignon and the flank steak were cooked to medium rare specification but were bland. The superema had little flavor. At the end of the meal I spoke privately with the manager giving him feedback on our experiance. He apologized and said he wished we told him when the food arived. I let him know I normally would but I was entertaining guests of my own and didnt want to make a scene. I used a Groupon when paying for the meal so I didn't expect much to be done. Never the less the manager did not offer any competition and did not ask that we return.

Food is a little bland for Argentinian fare. Ordered the grilled garlic & onions half chicken that is actually a breast & wing but was also dry. The empanadas and salads are decent. Not overly complaining due to a great Groupon deal but I wouldn't return. Pasadena has two great Argentinian restaurants with amazing food.

Here stands another restaurant in Burbank trying to stand out and be something more then the rest just like to in the hopes of standing out and earning the coveted "hip" label. I shared the fedichini Alfredo for lunch at around exactly that time, noon, because we had a Groupon that was finally going to pay us back after the investment put into it months ago. The waitress gave us an option to either get the lunch special which came with a free drink and a couple dollars less rather then the normal dinner we ordered directly from the menu. Of course we went for the better deal and were happy when it arrived as something we could both enjoy. The problem came when it was time to use the groupon and its being turned away because of the fact we ordered it from the lunch menu, something that is not possible to allow any other forms of discounts on top of it because of the already swell savings g's it provides. This was finally resolved when I was the watress called the owner and of course he sided with us and let it slide but if he couldn't have been reached I can only have feared the worst for us that day. I am glad he did

Three of us visited Gaucho for an early dinner after shopping. We started with a trio of empanadas -nice. Then we shared a Lomo and a mixed grill for two. (A little grill actually comes to the table and keeps it hot!) In reality, the mixed grill would have fed all of us well, even if we skipped the empanadas. So we took quite a bit home. But the medium-rare Lomo was the best, by far. Paired with their reserve Malbec, it was a good reminder of the best of Buenos Aires.

Went here last night and got the worst service from the manager he treated us like trash from the moment we walked in so my wife and I decided to not even eat here i told him he was going to lose a customer and get a bad review he just shrugged his shoulders like he dont care. Anyhow besides from the disgustingly rude manger the meat is dry and bland i dont get it how are you guys going to have bad service and food at the same time atleast get one right. I hope the manager gets disciplined for his behavior!
