Kings Deli

I live in Atwater Village and don't know of any Jewish delis in or near my neighborhood. A search of the Internet brought up King's Deli located across from Warner Bros studios. The place is small but quite clean and the staff, friendly. I ordered a pastrami and corned beef sandwich with a side of Cole Slaw which they prepare themselves. The rye bread was fresh and flavor and the meats well seasoned and tender. The Cole slaw was mediocre and overshadowed by the rich taste of the sandwich. I will be returning to eat here.

It was my first time here and I ordered the pastrami sandwich. I must say I’m a little disappointed...although the pastrami tasted A+, I felt like for a $15 sandwich I should’ve gotten more. This is the remaining third left with no pastrami left. I swear both pieces of bread put together was thicker than the amount of pastrami I got. The picture of that pastrami sandwich someone posted earlier.. wowza that is stacked with pastrami, mine didn’t look anything like that. I would’ve given five stars except for the amount of pastrami I got, specially for my first time. I mean if it was an eight dollar sandwich sure that amount of pastrami is fine.

Kings Deli is a delicious, family owned and operated deli restaurant with all the traditional deli sandwiches, and their specials with twists with scratch made sauces. I love their lunch special which comes with 1/2 a sandwich, salad, and choice of side. Love their corned beef, brisket, roast beef and turkey. All high-quality meat piled on delicious high-quality bread. Do not miss out on this hidden Burbank / Toluca Lake Gem! Try them out, you will not regret it and will be back for more!
