The service is slow. I'm telling you this now, to emphasize the fact that this is a five-star review for a place that takes a very long time to get your food.
It takes that long because it is not only the best, most authentic Mexican food in all of the Buffalo-Niagara region, but the best, most authentic ethnic food in the region.
The food is all fresh made and remarkable. There is a full bar, and an incredibly reasonably priced menu. If I could find a way to eat a meal there every day, I would. I love supporting local, family business and when it's this good, it's a no-brainer.

I've been patiently waiting for the Hamburg location to open. Anticipating genuine Mexican food that I am used to having being a transplant here from the West Coast and born in AZ. I was raised on Mexican food and I have to say that I am very satisfied with the food that Hector and his almost all Mexican staff makes. I tried several dishes with a variety of meats all that were seasoned to my particular taste. Very authentic indeed! I will for sure be back for more!!!

Horrible. This was easily the worst dining experience we ever had. It took 60+ minutes to get our food. We had to ask for silverware, twice. The place was dirty, and expensive. With everything we experienced in the dining room, I couldn't imagine the kitchen was much better. I live blocks away and was excited to eat here. I couldn't possibly have been more disappointed.

I'm not surprised to hear about the decline of this restaurant. When I first went in there about a year and a half ago the food was outstanding but I saw that big Hector was doing almost everything himself and the service suffered as a result. I offered to help him as a server and was hired on the spot. After about three months of working there, in which time I was not paid my wages for the final 2 months time, I was refused one taco for my table that never received it, and accused of eating it instead of serving it to my customer!! I blew a gasket and walked out and never did or will return again. Come to find out he has a history of not paying anyone including vendors and the like. Go back to NYC Hector and Jr.

I agree with the last 2 reviewers - HORRIBLE. There were flies buzzing around on the summer night we dined at Valle of Mexico. The waiter did a poor job in answering our questions about specific items - my guest ordered Carnitas and in no way did the burrito he received look like carnitas. A Dos Equis Amber bottle of beer was $8..... really this is not NYC. We should have known when we walked in and there was only one other table occupied.

$12 for a margerita made with well tequila and sour mix! $8 Modelo?! Since the prices weren't listed on the menu and the server didn't give us a heads up we paid but felt ripped off. The food was meh. We will definately not be back.

Was great when they first opened. Then went in there one day with my fience. Which know Mexican food well. It was horrible. Pre cooked Tomales. Frozen still on inside. All precooked. Frozen then thawed and heated. Not good.

Incredibly slow service, inattentive staff that were unable to answer basic, direct questions. Waited 20 minutes for the first order to come out for our group, them another 20 for the next, etc etc. First tacos I got were tasty, but after ordering more, they came slow and uncooked, as well as different from the first 3.
