Espectacular.
Unlike the other comments we liked this place pretty much. Meat was tasty and the service was perfectly fine. We reserved beforehand maybe that’s why. Sides are quite small tho. Stay away from the lettuce. It is literally lettuce only.
I’d recommend the dry aged mature steak. As the side dish artichoke was perfect.
Cream caramel is perfect. Definitely try it.
Quite possibly the best steak I’ve had, at a restaurant, in quite some time. The veal was absolutely phenomenal. It’s seasoned with only a few pinches of salt, which is my preference when eating a quality steak. We arrived around 6:30, and were told we had to have a reservation, but that walk-ins would be served at 7:30. This was a bit confusing as the website said multiple times that reservations were not required. We were happy to have a glass of wine at the nearby bar while we waited for a table, however. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was lively, and the food and wine selection were top-notch. We felt the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food, as well. We even made a reservation to come back the folllowing evening. Could not recommend more!
Great dining experience despite the bad reviews I read. Service was very good, the place looks very good and the food was very tasty. It is not a cheap restaurant but the meat was so good that I felt prices were fair. In top of that, the rest of food court El Nacional is a delight for the eyes.
Good meat and wine selection, fast service. May be crowded sometimes.
Gonzalo was my waiter and I was not sure what to order....he truly led the way and was confident in his suggestion. Let me tell you this was the best steak I've ever had. He is literally an Angel. I felt bad because it came with all these wonderful looking side dishes but that piece of meat was too delicious and there was so much I had to prioritize (I.e. didn't touch the sides). I always order medium rare to be met with medium well or just straight up well done...oh no....not here. It was perfection, if you would have seen me, I may have been the one shedding a tear. It is aged beef so there is a distinct flavor to it but good golly miss molly this will go down in the record books for me. I recommend getting a seat over by the oven/grill. Watching the chef (meat master? Not sure what the name is) preparing the meat was like watching an artist create a masterpiece over and over again. Honestly I have no idea how he does it and if you were here when I was then yes I was the one that gasped "how does he do that?!" Everyone here is an amazing professional and I'm just overall impressed....
I already posted photos so I won't double up on that. (The ones of the steak and cooking area.... you're welcome)
Seriously try this place. You won't be disappointed!
Excellent service and atmosphere. The food was great, but the recommended aged ribeye was a little under seasoned for our taste.
We ate dry aged steak ! It was really delicious ! After dinner I recommend cream caramel !
