Generally tried to avoid any tourist restaurants near off of La Rambla, but ended up giving Ultramarinos a try out of convenience to our hotel and seeing that it had good reviews. The restaurant was playing loud upbeat music when we showed up on a Tuesday night, which was fun. The DJ was pretty good! The space itself is quite large and well decorated in a non-stuffy or cheesy way, with everyone writing their names on the walls so we left an evidence of us being there as well! Thought that was fun. They had 6 tapas for 7 euros deal on a sign outside the restaurant, which made us walk in and see whats up. Got seated right away, but there was only one server managing 8 tables on her own and she wasn't very strong at communicating which was a bit hard for us while ordering. What we had: -Wild mushroom and foie Croquettes -Spinach Croquette (The best) -Sizzling artisan chorizos -Alfredo pasta -Patatas bravas -Seafood paella (The best) Overall food was pretty good, small portion size and ok customer service but still, can't complain for being in the most touristy area off La Rambla in Barcelona

I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. I loved the vibe and the decor of this restaurant. People's names and all on the tiles in colored sharpies? Cool! So, we started with the french fries with prosciutto and egg. Holy amazing! Great portion for two people to share! The french fries were perfectly golden and I loved the oozy of the eggs around the plate. And plenty of prosciutto!! We then got a appetizer sampler plate that was about $10 and totally worth it. I honestly loved everything on the plate! :) It came with sausage, bread with tomato spread, egg and croquettes.Large serving of potatoes and sauce. Saturday's there is a DJ starting at 9. I would love to come back here. I bet the evening atmosphere is amazing. There is a large disco ball in the main room. **The bathrooms have motions lights.. they will turn on! Ha It took me a minute to figure this out. For those used to getting free water: remember you get charged for water if you order it here. Highly recommended!

We casually stumbled upon Ultramarinos while walking La Rambla after checking into our hotel. The hostess kindly approached us and asked if we wanted to check out their menu. Their tapas was what caught our attention at first, which was why we decided to give them a shot. The place is cool and gives off an eclectic vibe. Our server was extremely nice and gave us some great recommendations on what to try. Although I can't remember each dish we ordered I would suggest ordering their paella if you want a filling meal or want to find an entree easily shareable amongst your party.

Found this place on a whim while walking down Las Ramblas. They have outdoor seating set up but their restaurant inside is very unique and modern. It was our first meal in Spain and we ordered croquettes, paella, and sangria. This place is where I fell in love with sangria cava. The service was super friendly and their paella was really good. Sangria cava was very refreshing and by far my favorite type of sangria. Their croquettes were warm and the filling was delicious. They have live music on weekends, but we weren't able to check that out. Not much to say about this place, you need to try it yourself!

The restaurant was playing loud upbeat music when we showed up on a Tuesday night, which was fun. The DJ was pretty good! The space itself is quite large and well decorated in a non-stuffy or cheesy way. Overall we received great service from our waitress as well. For a drink to start with I got the rebujito, which was essentially just a mojito and tasted great. Pretty good deal for only 4,5 euros. As for an entree, I went with La Ibicenca. This is their pizza that comes topped with tuna, prawns, cheese, caramelized red onion, and tomato sauce. Seemed a bit different from the typical toppings I see in the US, so I went for it and truly enjoyed it. The pizza was a great size too! The crust was on the thinner side, so it's easy to eat more of it than it seems.

While walking La Rambla, we stumbled in here to use the restroom at 1st, and ended up staying for Tapas & drinks! It is very deceiving, looks just a bar and Tapas area when you first walknin, then BAM! There is this amazing dinner/ dance area in the back. They had a real good food menu, that is decently priced for being right smack in the middle of La Rambla, and a great bar selection. Everyone was very pleasant & friendly, the food was great, and the drinks even better! We had a great time!

We were in Barcelona for the first time and found this place while wandering late at night and desperate for some good food and drink! We were not disappointed! We had some delicious patatas bravas, seafood paella, but most importantly a jug of sangria that was so good! We also had an amazing and hilarious waiter, Dany! He made the experience 100 times better! He even gave us a recommendation for a fun bar to go to (La Tavern) along with a hand drawn map.

We sat inside to cool off. Waiter was attentive. Sangria was very good. The copa bread has a unique taste (red sauce), but it helped fill my empty stomach. We ordered two tapas from the fresh sheet. The octopus salad was so delicious! The king prawns were really tasty.

Wonderful place and atmosphere. The Dj is pretty good as well. Jeez, we finished our small plates of guacamole and chips. (Hint asked for extra chips and spinach croquettes). Now on to the ultimate seafood paella.
