The food was incredible! The pork chops were tender and well seasoned. The greens were fresh and cooked to perfection. The yams were like dessert and the corn muffin was icing on the cake. I ate entirely too much, but will be returning! And you can't beat the price! Well worth it! The staff was soooo friendly and very welcoming. We had a great experience!

I was expecting much better food based on the reviews. The lemonade was like syrup so everyone at my table had to add a half glass of water to that in order to drink it. The cabbage was very bland. The yams were not edible as it tasted like some weird spice was added unnecessarily. I had the chicken livers with onions and gravy that tasted like it was cooked in used fish grease...the gravy was way too thick and not very flavorful so that was not edible either. At first I thought it was me but everyone at my table had the same issues with their sides and drinks. It did take a long time for us to get our food but there was a crowd so that's understandable. They were also out of a few menu items but that's normal too. The service was good for us and I hope the food and drinks aren't always that bad. The actual atmosphere was very spacious and pleasant with nice music in the background. It's been a few weeks so hopefully things have improved.

First time here and we were happy we came! I ordered the fried catfish and it was fantastic. Light breading nothing masking the taste of the fish. My wife ordered the smothered pork chops. Portion was big and delicious. All the sides were fantastic. Will definitely be coming back. Service was wonderful as well.

I absolutely love the food. I have eaten there on so many occasions and not once was I not satisfied. I recommend that everyone should drop by. The owner is compassionate and heaven sent. Where do you go that the owner give weekly discounts, monthly specials, accommodating space for any event, and he's always there to give a helping hand, listening ear, and friendly conversations???? Go in, eat until you're stomach is full and your heart is content.
