On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

The food was average. Not at all what I remember, and I was a little disappointed. Just a little. My son did not like his quesadilla, and that is rare. Myself, I thought the chicken tinga taco was actually good. As well as the beef empanadas. As usual, the chips and salsa were great. My favorite as far as restaurants go. This was a take out order, and it was prepared quickly.

Delicious food, friendly staff, great comfortable atmosphere! It's a Mexican cuisine restaurant, expect some of the staff to be Spanish speaking and be patient, Woodbridge is growing rapidly with lots of kinda of folks. Wonderful stop on the trip home. The tortilla soup, refried beans, and quesadillas were great, gracias!

I had a great time, I don’t know how they didn’t have a single other customer dining there when we went. We ordered the empanadas, which were just as good as they were when I was a kid. The steak fajita, and shrimp tacos. The portions were big and we left feeling very satisfied! Wish there were more customers dining here!

Had some issues this past visit when celebrate my brother in law's birthday. First, they would sit us in a location away from the door because they said it was closed even though the restaurant was less than 10-15% occupied. Then it look almost 1 hr to get our food. Some got all you can enchiladas and it took forever to get 2nd order. No one got 3rd order since the service was so slow. The food was okay but it just wasn't a good experience thus time around.

We came in right after they were open so the place was empty. I can't speak to other reviews I have read about in terms of timeliness with service because we were there when it opened, but the food and service we received from Darian was great. We ordered an appetizer and a couple of meals because we could tell the portions were large. It was enough to feed three of us. Even though this is a chain restaurant, this was our first time being there and would definitely go back because of the great selection of food and the atmosphere of the establishment.
