They only sell pretzels and ice cream. They were out of hot dog pretzels when we went. The cafe overlooks the panda exhibit but there are not many pandas in the summer since it’s so hot. We saw a panda very briefly and then it went inside.

Let me say this about the place, the food comes fast and they have some healthy-ish options. Is it pretty? No. But I'm not bringing my wife here for our anniversary. I'm stuffing food in our gullets so we can watch that darn cute red panda for just a little longer!

Order 2 orange chicken dishes for $30. Looks good. God awful. Don't do it. Sauce is ok. Chicken like sawdust. Bring your own food.

Not many animals out at the National Zoo when we went , but we got there around the afternoon feeding time of 1:30-2:00 so that might be why. Very nice that it is free. Not a lot of restrooms throughout the park, but if this is the place I think it was, then it had the best restrooms at the Zoo. sis eat there ..actually didn't think it was even open. Nice afternoon for my family.

Very exciting place to visit, they had wide variety of exotic animals, lions, tigers, panda bears, komodo dragon, croc etc, those are some of the many animals. Once you pay a parking fee of $25, it gave you access to see all the animal of you choice. Be sure to save up all the energy, because u surely gonna need it for extra walking, it was fun! Great for family, kids love it.

This is the best spot to see the pandas on the Zoo. You can seat by the wall or stand by the glass. Just watch they eating bamboo or playing. My kids can get enough when they are there. Highly recommended!

We didn’t have as bad an experience as some. Three stars for zoo food. If it were a stand alone restaurant two stars. If it’s cold out it’s a bit exposed and windy. Outdoor seating only.

I wish I had read these prior reviews but one has little choice when you are in a zoo with 2 hungry kids. We did not see much of a line here but it is for the reasons detailed below - food was served cold. when we complained, we were told that the message will be passed to the "chef" (Solwave Stainless Steel Commercial Microwave) - very slooooowww service. We waited 45 min!! - they got the order wrong. served us white rice instead of brown - the egg rolls were soaked in oil. i could have probably fried a couple of eggs with the oil that dripped - Our order was broken up and then they gave us a whole new order of the same meal after we got done. We declined and left in a huff
