Super Pollo

This is the only location in DC I go to to get Peruvian chicken. My favorites are the 1/4th chicken, fries, & rice/beans. If you are looking for a chicken spot to grab something quickly that is filling and low cost, I always recommend pollo super chicken. They have seating but this is not much of a sit down restaurant (if you know what I mean). It is located near DuPont circle so parking is extremely limited. The sauce DON’T FORGET THE YELLOW SAUCE.

Not the best Peruvian-style chicken I have ever had, but it was pretty damn good. Crisp skin that was seasoned well, and the chicken inside was very moist. The rice was good, and the fried yucca was crispy even 20 minutes after I picked it up. The joint is small but clean, the staff was nice and moved quickly. Prices were normal-to-good for the neighborhood. If you're in Dupont and want some good food, give Super Pollo a try.

We went to DC and stumbled upon this place on our way to Halal Guys. The food looked so good so we ate here instead. Their chicken is AMAZING and tender, juicy, lemony. I was told everything is halal. Plantains were yum, and chicken kebab was delicious. I got a rotisserie chicken to go for home bc the flavor was nothing like i'd had before.

One of the better value plays in DuPont Circle, I've been twice in about a week and will probably make this place a routine fixture. The chicken is juicy and buttery, the rice is really really standout (their adding additional chicken to the rice was a real good play to enhance the flavor). The fried plantains are a bit hard, not as hot and sloppy as I prefer them but they're delicious anyways.
