Sugar Shack - Shaw

Update: SO many vegan options! The place to go for plant-based donuts in DC. Fantastic donut shop in a convenient location. Plentiful donuts (vegan flavors as well) available, with great store hours that range from 6:30 to 1AM on Fridays and Saturdays. The donuts are larger than standard, and are quite fluffy. I always get the sprinkles option. Nice workers here.

~ I bought half a dozen vegan donuts to take to work. My co-workers liked them a lot, they were very surprised they were vegan. They are that good! Also, usually other donut places open late and/or close early on Sundays but here they open super early and close at a good time thats a plus in my book. And their donuts are bigger than regular size donuts, fluffly, sugary, oh just so yummy. They have a variety too. All around plus. Good job! ~

I love Sugar Shack! They've completely displaced Ted's Bulletin for me when it comes to getting my donut fix. I stop by a few times a month and have never been disappointed, except for when they sell out and have to close early lol. They have a variety of donuts, with some being more of a dessert item than others, but all of them are tasty. They also do limited edition/specialty donuts, which means that there is usually something new to try, depending on how often you go. The donuts are pricier than what you might be used to, but they are worth it, due to the size and overall deliciousness. The staff are also quite nice and polite. The only struggle you will have in this establishment is deciding on just one or two, instead of buying out the whole case. 😂 Awesome place!

Such a variety of donuts! They even have vegan donuts that are soft and fluffy at any time of day or night. The flavors change all the time. But just a simple glazed donut is scrumptious. Best DC donut so far. Oh and the staff- they were like little angels put on earth to make the world a better place. So much kindness and generosity. Get your donuts ya'll.
