When Shop House closed many of us worried that it was the end of an era. Well, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Street Carts has resurrected Southeast Asian fast casual in DC, and it’s better than ever. Get the bowl with mixed veggies as a base. Pick a protein and grab a sauce. You’re good to go. Best Shop House replacement in the District. Hands down.

This is a great fast casual option in Logan Circle. For fast casual, the atmosphere is very nice with awesome decor. It's modern and clean. The food is delicious, the portion sizes are great, and the price is what would be expected. I always get the bowl and they are more than accommodating with giving you extra rice and sauce on the house. Management is receptive to customer feedback as this is their first year in business. Staff is usually nice, however, they seem to run out of menu options pretty often. You frequently hear "we're out of that right now, are you willing to wait?" But, it's a really great spot.

The food tasted amazing and fresh. Staff was friendly and informative about the menu. The ambiance was nice and very clean. The manager was very hospitable and welcoming... he even gifted me a yummy dessert! It was delish... Some kind of vanilla /coconut cake. I went yesterday and came back the today to try something new! Both dishes were great and I was satisfied.

After living in Asia for many years, I was skeptical of the "authentic Asian fare" at street carts on P St. But I'm a believer - been here 3 times so far and has always been friendly, fast and fresh. The head chef is Thai and the manager is from Malaysia. Food is a bit spicy (just nice for me). they have more sauces if you want more heat (like my wife).
