Always quick to respond at the bar. Very nice cider options. I come for a weekly event and it's very accommodating and a nice time to relax. Good deals on food as well if you go for their specials.

Cozy vibe, not too busy when we were there. Very lgbtq+ friendly. Cocktails were great, food was good, veggie burger a bit plain.

I love everything about this place! The drunk customers, the sweet bartenders. My fav is Steph! She is the best and I met her on a party boat. Cool as a FAN. The food is bar food and good still. No frills and such a nice dive bar. No modernized decor and I can say what I want. No PC culture! Just a Cheers like atmosphere. Amazzzzing

Excellent place with a large variety of drinks at shockingly low prices. Fun music and easy access from the metro by way of the CaBi rental system. As northern Green-line residents, we will definitely be returning.
-2 stars on the atmosphere rating because the half-enclosed rooftop area smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (because you're allowed to smoke up there). Bummer!

My favorite dive bar in DC! Cheap eats, daily specials, friendly and FAST staff, and best trivia in town.

Long wait time for food but it was trivia night and they were SLAMMED. Unfortunately the burger was so hearty and so meaty when the server brought it out, it slipped off of the bun and hit the floor with a satisfying "thap". They replaced the entire basket immediately and took it off of the tab. The service was courteous, friendly, and running around due to the volume of orders which they handled amazingly. Always a good time at the Red Derby!

Stopped in just on a whim this past Sat. I have never been hear before but my girl and I decided to walk in for a drink. Needless to say the service was good, we order the tenders and fries..(delicious) best fries 🍟 ever. I don't even like fries but theirs is great. The drinks was nice. It was a different type of vibe. We enjoyed it. Will go againn.

A Petworth / Columbia Heights institution, quickly becoming my favorite local bar. Cheap drinks with their lucky pick beers and can+shot combos. Cool rooftop atmosphere and decent food, its hard to go wrong with this spot

Great ambiance, good deals (shout out to Paul Rudd Wednesdays), not to mention a unique variety of drinks (e.g. lychee jelly sake). Also, the rooftop is the only place I know of in DC where you can smoke.
Their new trivia is fun too, especially if you’re sick of TriviaMatic questions and need a change.
