This café is a really unique one. There is a hardware store, a bike store and a café on the same location. They offer a incredibly delicious pie and their macchiato are one of a kind. Coming to this place was definitely a different experience for me compared to all coffee shops I have been before. If you are around, you should check it out too.

Great coffee, beverages, and sweets. Also a lot of bike equipment. Great place to escape the heat and sit down for a minute. Reasonable prices. Nice staff!! Great choices. Overall awesome place.

Coffee, bikes and a hardware store in one, I mean what's not too like about this place?! I'm a cyclist so totally loved this place, ride in, they have a roll up door I'm assuming they use on nicer days, good coffee cool people and the hardware store attached is so cool! It's on the street side but the wharf is around the corner so grab a drink chill and browse bikes and tools or roll around the corner and explore the wharf.

Came in on the 4th of July after a wedding. Very unique spot. It's located within a bike/hardware shop. Cool seeing bikers stop in for some coffee. My girlfriend had a few sips of her latte before a fly flew into it. She asked the barista if she could get another and they gave her a whole new latte. Very nice of them.

We were looking for a local coffee shop while visiting the area and were happy to find The Velo Cafe. A lot more of these bicycle shops/cafes are popping up and I kind of wanted to see what one was like. We stopped in early on a Sunday and there was a mix of cyclists and regular folk enjoying the space.
Their standard drip coffee was silky smooth and a decent price for the amount you received. The chocolate croissant was large and super chocolate-y. If you're getting a chocolate croissant that's just want you want! The blueberry muffin was a bit of a let down as we literally only found 2 blueberries in the muffin. The dough was kind of flavored blueberry but we were expecting more actual blueberries or at least pieces of blueberries for what we paid.
They also serve beer and wine later in the day and it'd probably be a cool place to hang out in the afternoon. Also I know it's a bicycle shop as well, but the large group of cyclists that were there kept crowding our table as more of them arrived, and we had barely stood up to put our jackets on before some of them put their things on our table. The cafe could use a few more places to sit, and the cyclists that visit could remember that people who don't cycle like coffee shops as well. We'd come back to grab food and drinks, but we probably wouldn't stay to eat there again.

The cafe is clean and the coffee is good quality even if it got to me cold. It's also not particularly expensive. But again, sub par service ruins the experiences for those who see parts of the business run well. The gentlemen at the register in the morning of June 19th took my order in a rude manner. He only said "We are out of mocha." That's it. So I bought something else, sat down, started working and 20 minutes later I realize I still don't have my coffee. They just set it at the edge of the counter and left it there. I didn't hear them call my name, it's not loud in there at all. They either didn't bother, or they called it very quietly, once. My coffee was cold. Not returning. So sad for a business that has this many stars.

The Velo Cafe is the most unique coffee shop in the new District Wharf. It's on the very edge of the Wharf closer to the Waterfront Metro inside the District Hardware and bike shop.
The cafe has an area to order coffee, snacks, pastries, and drinks on draft (they have several beers on tap). There are long tables and window seating with outlets and free wifi.
They have happy hour daily ($1 off drinks) and it's all-day happy hour on Mondays.
