Flippin’ Pizza

This place was awesome. We did hit it at exactly lunchtime and it was busy. But they weren't bothered and so chill. The Brooklyn Calzone was fire. The best I've ever had. And plenty big. I was halfway through with it before it occurred to me to take a picture! So, so good. Don't let the mushrooms deter you. Not drippy or mushy. Outside was crisp, the sauce it came with was delish but not necessary for a fulfilling eating experience. Crispy outside and not greasy at all. The guys working there are so cool. We'll definitely be stopping here again the next time we visit downtown D.C.

The guy behind the counter today is running the show, literally! I came in with a group of teenage boys and our experience from start to finish was nothing short of amazing. He’s talented and personable and has the whole place under control. We got lunch and a show! Oh and great pizza too! Highly recommended!

Have not been here since before the COVID shutdown, but I just went back this week. It's still the best pizza I've had in this area. I recommend getting a whole fresh pizza or getting there when they open for a fresh slice. The crust is thin and crispy with a nice yeasty flavor. The toppings are fresh and flavorful.

My wife and I were on vacation in D.C and after our visit to the Holocaust memorial museum we needed some comfort food to sooth are aching souls. Flippin pizza was the answer! The pizza was sold as a pie or slice and was absolutely delicious!! Cheesy and crispy. We got 2 slices of pepperoni and a 6 piece garlic knot. It was so good!! And when you’re done eating the Jefferson memorial is not a far walk from this location. 10/10 would eat here again!
