My favorite place to eat at the Smithsonian museums. Excellent food in a nice atmosphere. Admittedly, a little expensive but that is Washington DC for you. I recommend the Campfire buffalo burger.

The taco fry bread was good and filling! This cafe offers comfort food that will appeal to the widest tastebuds. For examples the beans and squash made up the base in my chili for my taco fry bread. The foodie in me would have loved to try more than the current fare. Still recommend coming here if you are in the area!

Love the variety! Rarely do I see museums that offer anything other than Chicken tenders and fries, so I appreciate the choices. I ended up getting the hanger steak with chimichurri with cilantro-lime rice and sprout salad.

Best Smithsonian restaurant meal. The hanger steak with chimchurri was outstanding (or at least when I requested medium rare). Worth the wait.

Our smoked salmon on bread with avocado spread was delicious. The two sides, quinoa salad and wild rice salad, were yummy. The portion was quite big, enough for two people. Only $1 7.45 before tax. What a nice surprise for museum food!

Go out of your way to dine here. Far and away better than any other museum dining experience. Plus a really cool representation of Native American foods. Service was excellent and efficient, portions generous, presentation showed care, and food was delicious.

My wife and I stopped in here for food while traveling from the capital building to the George Washington monument. They have multiple food options which is good for large groups. My wife had the chicken quesadilla with quinoa salad. The red salsa was delicious and we ordered fry bread to dip in it. They were very generous with the chicken portion in the quesadilla. Quinoa salad was very refreshing. Venison sausage was good, as well. The rice was rice. The salad I had was very delicious, sorry don't remember the name of it. If you're looking for unique food to try for the first time or want something cooked fresh. This is your place. The food was filling without being too much so the wife and I could continue our journey. It seems that their menu changes with the seasons, so they might not have what we ordered when you go. There were so many other foods that I wanted to try and wish I was staying longer to try more. Make sure to walk around and check all their food options because they had lamb stew that wasn't on the menu but was offered.

It was good. I had heard a lot of people talk up how great it was, and how there were different sections with different Native American foods. I got a goat stew that was pretty good!

I was told to expect basic cafeteria food, but I was very impressed with the quality of food here! It was definitely above basic cafeteria level quality, and I found the dishes being served fascinating, being that they were inspired by native tradition. The food was overall filling and satisfying, I would definitely recommend finishing your meal with sweet fry bread for dessert!
