When I lived in dc I order from this restaurant a lot, and my go to dish was either sopa de res or the seafood soup. For someone who love soup their food is very comforting. I’m back in dc to visit and I just had to come back to el rinconcito. Once again, not disappointed!

What a lovely experience! We rode our bikes from DuPont Circle to the restaurant for dinner and walked into a quaint space with a welcoming staff. Our server was adorable and attentive, he even let me take a copy of the menu when he saw me trying to grab a good pic of it. I keep it with my DC souvenirs. We did extensive research on DC restaurants and this one was often mentioned as the best El Salvadorian food in town. We each ordered the 2 pupusa plate. I had the Loroco and the Revuelta. It came with refried beans and this delicious cabbage, red onion, carrot marinated slaw as a topping. Top notch meal, and a great price. It's clearly a beloved neighborhood favorite and we can see why. Recommend.

Nice little spot for great Salvadoran food. Great service, even better food. Definitely worth it. Every time I come to DC I make a stop by.

El Rinconcito appears to have a loyal local following, and with good reason. For lunch I had the chicharrones fritos ($17.55, tax included) which I found to be a simple but satisfying dish. The service was friendly and prompt.

Delicious! We came here for a quick bite and everything was pretty yummy. They have natural juices as well those were pretty good. The place is small place not to many tables, however food and service was good.

This place is a gem hidden on 11th St. NW. The pollo y queso pupusas are delicioso! That chimichanga though, OMG! 😋🤤😋 I ate that platter in 2 halves because that chimichanga is so well stacked that just 1/2 will do you unless you have a healthy appetite. We received a bag of pickled something with our meal & we don't know what it was but it was good. I can tell you right now that I'll be going back. This place is super small so if you go in there with a large group of more than 6 people you've already seated half of the restaurant. This would be an amazing place for a small family gathering. The food is outstanding & prices are reasonable. My only negative comment would be that they didn't follow orders when my spouse asked them not to put guacamole with his food. He doesn't care for it so he didn't want it to be wasted. He only wanted sour cream & they added both anyway. He didn't eat the guac which ended up in the trash & that made him a little upset because it was a waste of food someone else could've eaten. He has a thing about not wasting resources. I don't blame him. Otherwise I give this place 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars.

Awesome Salvadoran food. Very home style, everything was fresh and made in house. The pupusas was my favorite. You can taste how fresh the tortilla was. Great spot to support a local business and eat tasty food.
