Atria Walnut Creek is a great place! The residents are always smiling and happy when I walk in. The staff smile, say hello, and are so helpful when you need direction. The food is incredible! Try the pizza in the bistro, there's not much that even comes close to how delicious it is. The place is always clean and smells good. The rooms are spacious and nicely updated. Having a larger fridge and freezer is much better than the small ones I've seen. If you haven't visited, you absolutely must. If you are looking for a place for yourself or a loved one, this one is really top notch.

My Dad was a resident at Atria Walnut Creek for 15 months. While living there, my brother and I visited multiple times a week. The entire experience with Atria’s staff, from the first introduction to the final goodbye was, without exception, outstanding. They were incredibly supportive during one of the most difficult transitions we have had to face as a family. It takes a real commitment to have the consistent empathy and compassion shown by their staff in how my Dad was treated and cared for. It was critical that he be able to maintain a sense of independence and dignity. Several of the team members, I could actually say all but the Resident Services Director, in particular, became an integral resource to our family staying on top of the details of his condition, latest RX changes, and immediate needs. Her and her staff would proactively encourage my Dad to stay social and take advantage of the day-to-day events. Honestly, I felt like this was an extension of family which really helped us feel he was in good hands. My Dad loved the food and particularly enjoyed the daily happy hour. The property is clean and set in a great location. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. It is a bit pricey but this level of quality care and personalized attention does not come cheap.

I looked at a few different places before deciding on Atria Montego Heights. It helped that the chef was BBQing on the grill on the patio when I came; it was a beautiful day & the food was good. I decided to move in right away because the staff was very helpful and friendly, but my family insisted they come the next day to check out the place. They too, thought Atria Montego was a great place. The location is good because it's very close to the county bus service and within walking distance to doctors, labs, dentists, John Muir hospital and a pharmacy. Ever since I moved in I've been on the go-I take advantage of all the outings and trips since I'm still able to walk around. I like the food here; I order a triple order of the shrimp because it's so good. I've gained 15 pounds since I've been here. My daughter asked her son where he wanted to go to eat and he picked here! Although I don't need much help from the care staff, they've helped me when I've needed it. You can be what you want to be here. I'm now on the resident council and I'm the librarian. I've made so many great friends here. It sometimes takes me awhile to get from one place to another because so many people stop and talk along the way. There are plenty of opportunities for physical activity, exercise, sports classes, even chair exercises. Being a veteran, I like the special Veterans Room.

Very accommodating, trust worthy, straight forward. In short very pleased and relieved to have my parents able to obtain their support and supervision probably in the next 3 weeks. All of the set up, refurbishing of their apartment and able to get a few really nice modifications to the basic 1-bedroom plan have made it smooth sailing. Atria Walnut Creek is also familiar with helping seniors connect with various support companies such as "movers" to facilitate moving in.
