Big Pop's Old Fashion Burgers

Nice place for a quick bite near the Cameron Park Zoo. I was excited to get the taco burger but it was a bit bland. I mentioned that to the staff and suggested having salsa available. Perhaps they will spice it up some. My son got a burger and loved it. Another customer said she always orders the fish sandwich. I’ll have to try it next time.

Cute place and staff was friendly which is why I gave two stars. Burgers were cold. The cheese, I think it was cheese, was like plastic. It wanted to melt on the patty but just couldn't do it. The tots and onion rings seemed old. Double deep fried and weighted down with grease. My husband ordered bacon on his burger, nope none to be found. I had to go to the counter and tell them and they brought him two pieces which was the only hot item we had there. There are too many awesome places in town to get a burger. Sadly this is not one of them.

Wanted to try this place for awhile, and we did today. We were very disappointed. She got a basic cheeseburger with onion rings, I got a double with bacon cheeseburger with tots. When we FINALLY got our order, it was barely warm, the cheese on my wife's burger was blistered, but didn't really melt. The cheese looked like plastic. My burger didn't come with the bacon, and I was ignored by staff until my wife walked to the counter to inform them. The bacon eventually came, as lukewarm as the burgers. The Hecho en Mexico Coke was amazing. I don't understand why this place is so popular and has such great reviews. Perhaps they were having a bad day...we'll never know, because there is no incentive to go back. In this case, strike one, you're out.

Burgers are very good as is the rest of the food they serve. Everyone is very nice and service is great, and prices are very reasonable. They have a very nice variety of food to choose from and everything is cooked to your specifications. We really enjoyed our meal and definitely plan to be a frequent visitor there.
