Awesome food (ordered lasagna, chicken limone & grilled chicken Caesar salad) & 99¢ margaritas on Wednesdays!! Love their spaghetti deal days also! UPDATE at Ray & Rural on a Thursday night, 11-7-19: The bus girl was the highlight of my visit. So sweet and the friendliest manner! Meatballs we're just as good as ever. The Chalkboard special with the mushrooms, walnuts & roasted veggies was DRIPPING in too much oil. And Mista Salad wasn't nearly as fresh. Rusty lettuce. Uck. But still 5 stars for the best meatballs in Arizona. ORIGINAL REVIEW. Always excellent service. Fun and friendly. Fresh made sangria. Best meatballs and gravy in town. I crave the Mista salad all the time. And the amazing, chewy bread with olive oil and balsamic. Mouthwatering. So many customizable flavor combos with the Chalkboard specials. The flat iron steak was crispy but medium rare perfect on the inside. Mushroom gorgonzola veggie topping made it a perfect super low carb entree full of flavor. And did I mention the best service? (11-7-19 update... Rural & Ray service not nearly as naturally friendly as the Surprise location.)

Went at lunch time during middle of the week and had no issues getting parking and seated. Very friendly staff and the food is awesome. My wife wanted to lick the plate, she had garlic chicken with penna pasta. I had spaghetti and meatballs, very nice. Had a light tomato sauce, I ate the whole thing but I wasn't stuffed to overfilled...just right.
