Pizza D'oro

DISGRACEFUL... I ordered a slice at 1pm (1 hour after opening) this place has to be serving old pizza from the night before, I requested that they didn't heat up the slice since I was in a rush and it was literally ice cold like it just came out of a refrigerator. There's no way that pizza was made today. I hope the $2 you've saved was worth losing a customer, God knows what other Shady money-saving tactics you practice hopefully the local wildlife will eat it because I certainly wont.

This fingernail-sized old school pizzeria is sandwiched between a gas station and tarot reading spot near a shopping plaza. If you weren't looking for this place, you could miss it. They have a dine-in special of large pizza pie and a jug of fountain soda for $14. We ordered a large cheese pizza for $18.50 (they charge tax on the $17). The staff is hit and miss. Sometimes, they are friendly other times they flat out ignore you. The wait time was a bit longer than I expected. I waited almost 55 minutes for a large pie because people who came after me got their order taken first or was served first. The pizza itself was delicious. The crust was thin and crispy. They were generous with cheese and it had a buttery taste. The sauce was okay. I taste the basic Italian seasoning used but, it had a sharp tomato vinegary taste. There is a $10 minimum credit card charge. They have tables for dine-in and arcade video games.

The pizza to me is too oily it's not really that good now if you want a really good pie there's plenty of other places on Staten Island but my favorite place now is Mike's meatball in Travis Staten Island they make a really great fresh pie all the ingredients of fresh and the sauce is out of this world
