Springfield Drug

This is a great place to stop and get a malt, shake or soda and to do some looking around. They have a really neat old-time soda fountain bar area with a small dinette section in front of it with a couple of tables. There is a ton of old time memorabilia and other unique items such as the huge vault door that leads to the restrooms. They also have a small selection of trinket gifts and cards. Don't forget to get a selfie with the Simpsons.

Small town life is so different from city life. The pharmacist actually talks to people. As in, when the ice cream counter is busy, he becomes an ice cream scooper. All while having an actual conversation with people. Listening is a lost art, but this place has kept it. I was pleasantly surprised by how he interacted with multiple generations. I wish my local pharmacy was personable. And also that they served old fashioned shakes, but ya can't have everything you want in life. Will definitely stop by for a treat anytime I'm in Springfield.

I've been using Springfield Drug for almost 15 years. I can't imagine taking my business anywhere else. There is no better feeling than having your pharmacist explain your medication to you and looking out for your best interests. The staff is always friendly and service is prompt. We all know eachother by name. Nowadays that's something that you just can't get anywhere else.
