China Palace

I gave them for star's because their food is excellent and they are quick. My only issue, and it's not even really a complaint, is the staff shared work on their people skills a little bit and the poor girl that took my order spoke so soft I couldn't even hear her. The outside of the property could use some general maintenance. However, the food is so good that brought them up from a three to four out of five stars.

I have had good experiences with China Palace in the past. However, today, I ordered my food from someone who hardly spoke English. I was told a time to pick up that food. Then they called back to say they didn't have the ingredients for the food. I adjusted my order and arrived at the adjusted order time and sat at the window for 10 minutes. I asked if anyone was there several times but no one answered. Finally I drove away. 5 or 10 minutes later I started getting repeated pestering calls from a woman who hardly spoke English. I was already back home and tried to negotiate a price that made it worthwhile for me to drive back to them but the woman could not communicate clearly. Very disappointing. I may never of order from them again.

Food was okay. Customer service is not good. The lady that took our order spoke extremely low and we couldn’t hear her. Even asking repeatedly for her to repeat what she said, we still could not hear her. She brought out all orders except one, she didn’t reassure us it was coming. At first, we didn’t know if they forgot it. Poor manners. Place is run down. Repairs needed. Glass on back door is busted.

Good food and massive portions, but the staff is not especially nice at all. No one greets you when you walk in or says thank you when you leave. It looks like the restaurant is on its last leg, and you feel like you are bothering them while spending your money. Next time we’ll make the drive to Urbana.

Went in for the first time ... not the most friendly folks ... the place looks terrible...by far the dirtiest looking restaurant I’ve ever eaten in . Almost just left ....that being said ...ordered general tso chicken and it was very good .probably won’t go back just because so dirty but food not bad .floors were sticky and dirty ...some tables broken but still out on floor . Tables sticky like not washed or washed with dirty rag .
