Jake's Wayback Burgers

I will start by saying that the burger was tasty and it melted in my mouth. I wasn't expecting that. However the bathroom was horrid. The light wasn't working, the role of toilet paper was on the floor. The fries weren't that special and it was pretty hot inside. However, the staff was nice and my daughter enjoyed the quirky plating.

This place is top-notch. I went for the first time recently and the burger was juicy and the fries were fresh and delicious. One of those burgers where there could be people rioting in the streets outside and you wouldn't even notice as you fill your face with a tasty burger! The restaurant began to fill with burger smoke while I was eating and it made for a fun experience. (Not overfilled, just a little burger smoke) The shakes are really tasty but I sucked mine down a bit too fast.. I went to the one in Windsor, CT (? or around there) afterward and it was good but not as good. Newer/cleaner but that actually took away from the "Wayback" concept.

I've eaten here before and considering the burgers aren't anything to write home about, you can only imagine how pissed I was when I called to pickup a burger 40 mins before closing - no answer. Left my house to go order in person, got there 20 mins before closing and the doors are locked. All that fake-smile corporate-clone customer service crap goes right out the window when everyone is clearly trying hard to act like they can't see/hear you at the door. I wouldn't buy another burger from this place unless it was to throw at an employee.
