Red Lobster

Service was fine and the food didn't take too long at all. And I'm thankful for all the hard workers there. The crab cakes were pretty good but that was about it. Nothing had any flavor at all to be honest. I got the choose your own platter with coconut shrimp, golden fried whitefish, and the fried scallops so I could try out different things but all for naught. This was only my second time here and I don't recall what I ate the first so maybe this just isn't the restaurant for me.

I have to say while I have had ups and downs with Red Lobster in Springfield and before 1985, in Champaign, I was pleasantly surprised AND quite content from my dinner with my son there tonight. The staff were most excellent, from the maitre d' to the hostess/waitresses, ALL were polite, attentive and friendly. I truly mean that. Our only drawback was choosing a table/booth against the wall with the bar. Every time they used a blender or the like my teeth would rattle...just kidding but it was a tad distracting. And we had to compete with a group of a dozen or more right next to us BUT even they sounded and looked like they were very pleased! I mean we ALL got Endless Shrimp and by God they were ALL good - and I sampled them ALL!!! Again, food was very good, the service excellent and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the Staff of the Springfield Red Lobster!

Wrost birthday dinner ever. Waitress didn't let me finish placing my order before going to next person. 😒 My sister wanted something else she signed as if annoyed, by time i got my baked potato and broccoli i was almost done. We took my sister order to go cause the rest of us was almost done before she got here order. And her loaded potato has nothing on it she had to tell her then she took it back and fix it. I asked for hot tea never got it.
