Calgaro's Pizzeria

I love this place. Happy hour beers are $3 and Coors Light is always $1. The pizza is pretty good and priced appropriately. I think my favorite so far is the BBQ Pie. The location makes this a perfect stopping point before a movie or going out for the night. I recommend giving it a shot at least once.

When I walked in there were only two people in restaurant setting at a table together so they weren't busy. A sign at the front said seat yourself so I did. I could see a girl getting a menu to bring over to me and the look on her face said she wasn't happy she had to do something. The food was good, but not great. I thought it was pretty expensive at $8.99 for a small 6-inch specialty pizza. I had a half price coupon I purchased from Ky3 and they only discounted half the price of the coupon so if I hadn't of caught it I would have payed full price. It took more explaining than it should have for the server to take the full value of the coupon off. The place was clean. Not really a great experience and didn't think the food was a good value for the prices. Parking is also an issue, very limited parking in front of the building. When I was there all the spaces were taken and I had to park in a parking garage about a block away and walk.

The quality of the food is top notch. I've had the benefit of trying most of their menu and there's been nothing I didn't eat until it was gone. They also have really reasonable drink prices and a really nice selection of local beer (I shop local!) The staff is always polite and attentive, my water glass is never empty, and after writing this I've made myself hungry...luckily Calgaro's will deliver to my house!

I can only give it a 3. Reason being. We ordered something and they were out, so my wife picked something else out. They proceed to tell me they were out of what I wanted. So after about 3 different times of them being out of things. We finally got our food. My stuffed peppers, the meatballs tasted like dog food. But the cheese and peperoni's in it were great. Jalapeno popper dip was awesome though.

I've been here twice and the food tasted great both times. The first time I ordered pizza and got it in about 15 minutes. The second time, I ordered a burger and got it in about 10 minutes (both of my visits were during lunchtime). It's a new place so of course there will be kinks to work out, but overall the place is EXTREMELY clean and the food quality is good, so I will return.

I think one star might be too generous of a rating for this absolute abomination of a pizza restaurant. I called in an order of pizza, and I waited up front for someone to assist me. I had stood there for ten minutes, only for an employee to tell me that it wasn't his responsibility to get my order. The absolute nerve of some people. He then tells me to go wait at the bar to get my food. As of yet, I have waited twenty minutes for my food, with the waiter ignoring me. This just in, another customer came to get his food at the bar and immediately got his. I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. I will never give any of my hard-earned cash to this embarrassment of a pizzeria ever again. Dear reader, do yourself a favor and never waste your money on this hellhole and treat yourself to some better pizza. No one deserves this kind of disrespect.

Terrible, terrible service. Three occupied tables in the restaurant when we went, and after 2 hours, finally got only half our order. We were told that our order was "accidentally" given to another table. When we finally got ready to pay, the waiter couldn't even get our checks right. The pizza was fantastic, but the service was horrible enough to make me leave a review. Awful experience.
