Golden Corral

Been to this location several times throughout the years. Never had a really bad meal there like some of these people were talking about and reviews. This was the first time we went for lunch and the price was very reasonable. They did'nt have steak I normally don't go to Golden corral or steak. The ice cream machine did not work but that's all right me I'd I'm a diabetic.

Apparently All Golden Corrals are not Created Equal…driving through Springfield and opted to stop in to eat here. We will not be back. We love Golden Corral. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but the food was Blah…nothing really tasted that great. There were a couple of heat lamps were out so that good was not very warm. Usually the salad is my favorite. It was ok but again not great. The steak had a “greyish” color to it and didn’t taste bad but not a good quality steak at all. One piece of fish I got (pictured) do not appear to be done. This is one of the things not under a heat lamp. Food had not been tended too. Things needed to be stirred. We won’t give up Golden Corral. Most of them we go to are great but won’t be back to this one.

Not too bad an experience I haven't been there in about 10-12 years. Food was decent I really enjoyed the fish. Cleanliness could be stuffed up one notch. Staff was very friendly and attentive. If I'm back in the area again I'll definitely go there. Restrooms could use another notch of cleanliness also. But nothing to the point of where I'd be turned away from going back to this restaurant

The food here is really good. IMO. The best thing about a buffet, isn't really the amount of food you can eat. I think it's all the choices, and food combinations, you'd never get away with anywhere else! The steak, yes that's right, STEAK: was very good, thick, and juicy! My wife loved the BBQ ribs! I'd advise you to look everything over, before getting anything. Make a planned strategy before you fill your first plate. You can't eat everything! I hope you can't! Yikes! They have a ton of options! Focus on what you like most. Take your time eating. It's not a race. Enjoy the food. Don't over eat. Anytime I've over eaten I didn't really enjoy it. I remember almost feeling sick a few times after Thanksgiving dinner. What's the point, if you end up feeling bad? Know your limit, and don't overdo it. Whatever you didn't get this time, make a note to get it, next time. Everything here was great. Except the environment could have been better. Like most everywhere else. They are a bit understaffed. Finding a clean table was a bit difficult. My wife noticed the carpet and curtains were a bit old, and worn. I'm not as picky as my wife. Those things don't really bother me much. We both loved the food!

Even though they were understaffed and busy, the whole crew worked amazingly well together. Our waitress Terri, kept our drinks filled, table cleared and was willing to help us if we needed anything. The manager Donovan is a great guy with a good sense of humor and was checking to make sure everyone was taken care of. Between the two Golden Corrals in Springfield MO, this is the ONLY one worth dropping in to eat, which is why we always return. Thanks to the whole crew for our experience tonight. A++

I believe this was the last time we'll dine there. Our server was awesome, the carrots on the salad bar were white and dried up and yet others were slimy to the point I took the container out of the slot and handed it to the lady behind the bar. The vegetables were dryed out except corn. The meat, talking about fish was under cooked pink in color not white and flaky. The steak I didn't even try when I observed the kid wondering if it was cooked correct. All I can say thank goodness the clam chowder came from a can. I believe I can save our $40.00 and spend it somewhere else. This truly saddens me cause it use to be a good place to eat.

Golden Corral has gone down hill so badly it's sad. The food was hot but mediocre at best, and somewhat bland. The staff seemed to not care very much, and it appeared they were short staffed. The place look just worn out. I used to really enjoy Buffet as a kid and so when I took my daughter I was hoping for fun experience. Sadly no.
