Black Market Smokehouse

I am anticipating raising the rating to 5 after they move to their new location this spring. We had the Cajun and the French Dip. They were both excellent. Most people would like a beer with the BBQ so when they move south and add beer to their menu I will raise the rating to a 5 star. I’m not a Brussel Sprout fan but everybody says that they are the best here!

I love trying new places when I travel and Black Market Smokehouse was within walking distance to the hotel. Ordered brisket, chicken, jalapeno sausage, pit beans and chips. The brisket was super tender and moist with good crust. The jalapeno cheese sausage had good spice and the chips were awesome! Good find!

Their sit-down dining is open right now. They don't have fountain drinks, but I understand that for the time we are in. We had 7 in our group and all ordered something different. The brussel sprouts were amazing other than I would have liked them better with not as much salt. Their home made chips were perfectly cooked but could have used some seasoning to make them taste better. The macaroni and cheese was out of this world. Now, to the meat. The ribs we ordered were extremely tender and smoky flavor but not much else. The pulled pork and brisket were also tender, but again, not much flavor. The sauces were just weird. The original sauce tasted way too sweet. I don't know what the spicy sauce was, maybe some sort of Asian flare. Either way, not good. The restaurant was very cold. It was snowing outside and 61 inside according to their thermostat.
