I had been eyeing this place for months and had the good fortune to dine here on a Friday night, solo, at roughly 5:30 pm. I grabbed the prime rib sandwich and the apple delight for dessert. The service was first class and felt better than home thanks to my waitress Paula. The decor may be a bit busy but the atmosphere here is very warm, welcoming, and authentic....think the Regal Beagle but with much better food. The prime rib sandwich was basically a slow cooked, prime rib smacked between two slices of soft bread. Delicious... Although I have to say the onion rings, while very tasty, are the kind where you end up pulling out the whole ring on the whole bite. I got a side of onion rings and a tall beer and topped things off with the Apple Delight, an apple-cinnamon something or other, with whipped cream. The best part was that the dessert wasn't too heavy as to make me regret getting it so I could see repeating this venture again. I definitely recommend this venue for those interested in venturing off the beaten path of commercial Springfield, and it's welcoming for families or a date for 2.

I have been searching for the perfect prime rib. I was a little leery because I went to another place that I would consider like a bar dive type establishment that went so wrong. But this place went so right. Oh my God the Hawaiian style prime rib is a must-have. The maitre d order taker was a sweet sweet man. Very knowledgeable and he highly recommended that style. So I tried the 10 oz Hawaiian style prime rib cooked medium which was a perfect temperature. A side of mashed potatoes, grilled mushrooms and a small chef salad. emphasis on small. This is an entree size salad for this awesome price. Don't sleep on these places that you think are a dive. Watch Drivers Dive In and Dives these places are the best. Stop by and give them a try. The entire menu is awesome and I will be back. I have leftovers for another day. #hotellife

A Springfield institution. Established in 1981. Not many restaurants can say that in this area. Foods pretty solid. I got the ahi tuna salad. It was pretty good. French onion soup is surprisingly good, not too salty. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. My party and I played the Buzztime trivia which was pretty fun. The host put it on one of the TVs and we downloaded the Buzztime Go app, made an account and joined via location tracking. We had a great time!

I stopped by to visit this is a long standing local’s restaurant, bar, pub and general hang out. They have set down seating for a more private setting. A huge bar area and a huge outdoor seating area! All are excellent depending on your mood. Food is very good. Not top shelf but still consistently good. The crowd is welcoming and happy. The bartenders are excellent. The establishment is well run and very pleasant and fun place to hang out. The beer is abundant and always cold. You can’t go wrong if your looking for a nice place to spend an evening!
