Andy's Restaurant

Not a fan of cheap chinese food - but this place could almost make me one. Why? 1) Food is always fresh, hot, prepared very fast - they promise 10 mins and they aren't kidding! Quality is not great, but definitely above average. 2) Prices are better than most other Chinese takeout within 4 mile radius. 3) Selection is wide & they even have sushi. Too bad they don't have Mapo Tofu. 4) They are always polite and friendly - service at counter is excellent. 5) Minimum credit charge is $10, which is reasonable. 6) Parking usually no issue, but can get crowded at peak hours cuz it's only in a little strip mall. 7) Neighborhood gem. Popular but not crowded. They also post their foodie badges proudly at their door. Would prefer to give them 4 1/2 stars.

LOVE this place. I've been living in downtown Silver Spring for about a year, and I'm so upset that it took me this long (and a few gross restaurants) to discover Andy's. I first found out about it through Grub Hub. I ordered sushi, shrimp lo mein, and crab rangoons. It seriously is delicious!! Best shrimp lo mein I've ever had. I went again today for lunch, and ordered the sushi lunch special, general tso chicken lunch special, and shrimp lo mein (didn't eat in one sitting, saving some for dinner and tomorrow). Again, the sushi and spring roll were good. I haven't eaten the chicken yet, but based on their other food, I'm sure it'll taste good!
