I'm glad I followed the advice of other reviewers. Excellent Eritrean cuisine enjoyed in a low-key atmosphere removed from the "scene" Eritrean/Ethiopian places in downtown Silver Spring. The loving touch of the owner shines through in her enthusiasm for the dishes on the menu, the freshness and authenticity of the food and her thorough check-in to make sure all at the table were happy. The restaurant was only a few days away from being licensed for beer and wine, which will be a welcome compliment to the sometimes-spicy offerings.

Given I had just come back from Ethiopia for work, this food was great! Tasted very authentic to what I experienced. I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the lady working there was very friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back

Best Ethiopian food in the area and I have tried a lot. Good prices, delicious and fresh food, and the people working there are very hospitable and kind. This place has so many 5 star reviews for a reason. They have a parking lot right next to the restaurant which is convenient as well.

Very pleased that I found this place. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices are so reasonable. The food takes a bit but only because it’s made piping hot and fresh. Everything was seasoned so well. We got the key wat and the vegetarian platter which were amazing but the star of the show was their fresh made house salad ! I would make the drive for that salad alone ! Everything was fresh, the ladies who worked there were so nice . We will definitely be back and I highly recommend. There’s a reason why this establishment has 5 stars !⭐️

It was the first time to check out Ethiopian Restaurant. The food was great and the people was very kind. Also, traditional coffee was excellent.(they recommended to order coffee around 5min before.) I’m so happy to know about this restaurant in my neighborhood. It's little hard to find this and parking lot of back of this building but I strongly recommend to visit. Thank you so much gave me nice experience!

One of my comfort food! And this restaurant is really one of the best (in my own opinion )when in it comes to Ethiopian food the price is isn’t too expensive. The owner/chef is so nice and friendly.

Just ate here tonight! Great food. Lovely service. The food smelled so good while she was cooking. Will definitely come back for breakfast and spaghetti.
Wish there was outdoor seating, but really enjoyed the comfortable chairs and the music inside.

Such a wonderful restaurant! The owner/chef is so incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is made fresh as you order it and, as a first timer, they even walked me through the menu and how to enjoy my meal properly.
Then, after the meal, they invited me to join them for fresh (as in ground and roasted in house) Ethiopian coffee. Everyone who came in was treated with such warmth.
This place is truly deserving of its nearly 5⭐ rating!
