Crisfield Seafood

Best crab cakes I’ve ever had. I had my fill and then some. Their homemade sauces (especially the tartar) are all top notch. As per Jay’s fantastic recommendation and with Dennis’ service, I had the platter of the shrimp and flounder stuffed with crab cake, with the side of lobster tail. It was the best seafood I’ve ever had in the DMV area. This family-owned restaurant has apparently been in it’s same place since the ‘40s— it’s one of the gems of Silver Spring, and more people need to know about them!

I haven't eaten at Crisfields in about 10 years. It must have been closed for a while as the counter bar was closed and two young men and a very young girl were the front of the house as well as being the servers. They did a very good job (a bit of a learning curve was going on). I only saw some deep-fried meals amongst the customers while I had a cup of seafood bisque (yummm) and a fried soft shell crab sandwich with cole slaw. They were also very good. I gave it four stars instead of five as I'm not sure to what extent they are serving non deep fried food like in the "old days." To be continued...

Seafood is still great and been around since 1945. I have been frequenting this place for over 30 years. I was disappointed when more than 2 years into COVID-19 pandemic that they still weren't open for dine-in service. Glad they are fully operational now. FYI to faithful customers, now a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your check, even for seating at oyster bar. Not withstanding still great broiled crab cake, lobster bisque soup and good service with some new faces.

Oldie but Goodie!! Been visiting this place since the eighties! Above average seafood. Mid pricey. Ex. 3 stuff shrimp plate/fries $30. However, sooo delicious! Place hasn't been remodeled since the 90's. Not offering indoor dining right now. Sorry for taking the pic so late but just wanted to give an idea of portion size.
