Ruang Khao

We had some friends in town, and they were craving Thai. This was the only Thai place I had not been to in downtown Silver Spring, and the reviews looked amazing. So we jumped on the metro and headed down. It's conveniently located close to the metro and was really easy to find. Upon walking in, we were a tad nervous because it was completely dead. And it was super humid inside. We had to ask them to turn the AC on, and they graciously brought us out a fan. Whew. Our table ordered: Tom Kha Soup Grilled Beef Salad Chicken Pad Thai Shrimp and Spicy Eggplant Crispy Fish with Thai Basil Sauce Tofu Pad See Ew Everything was very good and everyone was pleased with their meals. Prices were reasonable. I had checked in to get the free Thai iced tea with every entrée, apparently you have to take pictures of your food and leave a review before being able to redeem the offer. When checking in to get the offer, I didn't see anything about having to do all this. The manager made us pay for one out of the three drinks, which was a little dramatic. But we went with it... however, it did irk me a bit that she made it a big deal to begin with especially with everything that we ordered. While everything was good, I don't see myself coming back. Good Thai food is very competitive in downtown SS.

I admire this restaurant! They offer delicious meals, their menu is rich, The cook in that spot is a specialist, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The food is always good, the service towards the clients is good. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it with no hesitation.
