We stop by this restaurant whenever we are in the neighborhood. They serve good food at reasonable prices with very attentive service and kindness. It's very much a neighborhood restaurant with a warm casual feel. If you are looking for the dining equivalent of a warm hug you can't really go wrong here.

This place is an absolute treasure! It won't win a James Beard award but the food is good, drinks are amazing, it is affordable and the retro ambiance is amazing.

This place is awesome! They put a lot of care into the atmosphere and food. It’s one of the only places in Seattle with classic sides like baked potato and mashed. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was fantastic. Perfectly toasted rye with kraut, Swiss cheese, and tender slices of seasoned beef. Possibly the best Reuben ever. The food came out hot within 15 minutes, service was diligent and consistent, and I can’t understand how they turn a profit with such great prices! Overall a fabulous experience. I’m going to try the prime rib next.

First time at the broiler yesterday. Jon was our server in the main room and he was an absolute legend. Great service! I’d come back just for him. The food was what I expected - reasonably priced and quite good. The onion rings are absolutely worth the $1 upgrade. Also had a pomegranate martini that was fantastic. Jumped over to the cocktail lounge after dining room closed and had a great boozy hot drink.

Pleasant as usual. Meat quality has definitely gone downhill since I first started coming over 50 years ago (!!!). Prime rib was tasteless, a bit tough. Potato still delicious. My brother really enjoyed his teriyaki steak. Wine prices remarkably reasonable. I come back because it’s an icon that holds pleasant memories, not for the food.

Loved this place for years!! It's like an old sweater that just keeps getting as time goes on.
It's really exciting to see developers & city planners in Seattle tear the fabric out in places that unite the community in order to put profits and high occupancy dwellings in their place.

I give 5 stars, staff are very friendly and the service were amazing. We love this place. It was our first visit tonight 10-22-2023 and they made my bday extra special! Thank you all so much for the birthday icecream 🥰

Iconic Seattle restaurant! They have everything from burgers, lasagna, steaks, and prime rib on weekends. On their donner salads, they use cheez-its instead of croutons. Make sure to check out the lounge - it's like stepping back in time as it has vintage vibes! It does have tvs to watch a game. Drinks are good and strong.

Our first time to this popular old school neighborhood restaurant. There was a neighborhood car show in the parking lot that was also excellent. We had lunch, which was very good. Hand ground meat on hamburgers and several selections. Side salad and blue cheese dressing were good. The salad had a few cheese crackers on top in place of croutons. Great idea and reminded me of something my mom would do. Chicken may be substituted for beef any burger.
Will definitely go back.

For a classic 50's steakhouse atmosphere, can't be beat!
The vegetable beef soup was overflowing with delicious big chunks of beef. The London broil was tasty, a generous portion, and had a nice peppercorn gravy that really complemented the flavors, and the baked potato was creamy and tasty even without the toppings, and even the potato skin was delicious.
The interior decor and staff look like they haven't changed for years, which is part of its charm - dark wood, odd photos of underwater tentacles, comfortable booths, low lighting, an aquarium. It seemed like many of the patrons were well known by staff and come there every week.
