The Memphis King Bbq

Add me to the list of fans of this BBQ joint! The ribs are amazing. Fall right off the bone. Excellent flavor and texture. The mac and cheese was delicious. We tried the potato salad and it was also good. The pulled pork was extremely easy to eat or put on a roll. The pulled pork did seem fatty compared to others i have tried. They make a ton of different sauces and I intend to try them all. The white BBQ sauce was different and very good on the ribs. The sweet sauce was like eating honey. I was a mess when I was done and that usually means the BBQ was really good.

Drove here on a whim with most restaurants closed on New Years day. I had read reviews of Memphis King. The food was outstanding (big bbq fan) The ribs were literally fall off the bone. The Mac and cheese was homemade, like I would make. Pulled pork sandwich was great. The person that answered the phone was very sweet. Don't let the area put you off. Great food!

We live 2.5 hrs away, was in town overnight with my son for his athletic event. Saw good reviews so got takeout to bring back to the hotel. My son was so happy with his lunch he wanted to go back a few hours later for dinner. I agreed it was awesome, but convinced him to try a burger place instead. Made a deal to go back the next day before leaving town, this time we ate at the one, long picnic table inside. Staff and owner could not have been nicer on both occasions. No frills, just everything you want in an eating experience: high quality product clearly crafted with great care, and being made to feel welcome, and your business appreciated. Top recommendations: fried chicken sandwich, pulled chicken, potato salad (how is it that good without egg?), and baked beans, which we started calling "insanity beans" because they were that good and contained that many huge chunks of meat. Brought back ribs and smoked wings for my husband, and house, hot and sweet hot sauces...all excellent. Highly recommend!

Ordered catering for a Graduation Party. EXCELLENT food, service and delivery. Would highly recommend!! Staff was courteous and helped us choose the right amount of food. We ordered the Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Mac Salad, Potato Salad, baked beans (WOW-those are loaded and out of this world amazing) and the cornbread. Everyone raved about food. Thanks for helping to make our day extra special. KUDOS!

If you’re in the area you cannot miss this place. I had the burnt ends, sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese with the white sauce. This has been the best meal that I have had in the area! It’s small and casual and amazing in every way! The staff was very kind and helpful, if you don’t know what to get just ask!
