Esta noche estoy cansado después de la ruta y de visitar el pueblo pero no quiero irme a dormir sin hacer este reseña:
Para empezar tienen (para cenar) un menú variado que si bien es un poco más caro del habitual del peregrino vale la pena por su calidad y correcta cantidad...¡Y con opción vegetariana y vegana!
De los postres nada más os remito a las fotos que añado ;-)
Somos cinco haciendo la ruta y todos hemos coincidido en que fue muy buena elección parar allí a cenar.
Muy amable el trato del personal. Buscan que te sientas cómodo y lo consiguen. El local amplio y acogedor.
Cinco estrellas bien merecidas.
Absolutamente encantadores. Tomé el menú y resultó ser toda una sorpresa. Una crema de calabaza deliciosa (la mejor que he tomado en mi vida), un goulash mejor que el de mi madre, y una tarta de queso fabulosa. Todo por solo 14€. Comida de gran calidad, y generosa en la cantidad. Más que recomendable, imprescindible.

Estupendo descubrimiento. No pueden ser más amables y detallistas.
Un sitio acogedor y encantador, lleno de detalles. Los camareros, supongo que dueños también (un chico y una chica), super cercanos y serviciales.
Aunque solo tomamos algo, tienen comida sin gluten y sin lactosa, en mi caso, cosa de agradecer ya que soy intolerante y no es fácil encontrar sitios así.
Íbamos con un perrito al que dejaron entrar en el local y no solo eso, le pusieron un cuenco de agua, que agradeció muchísimo. Me preguntó su nombre, Y en cuanto le dije Falkor, lo reconoció y dijo “Never ending story”. Me hizo mucha ilusión que lo supiese porque normalmente la gente no lo conoce y tengo que repetir el nombre varias veces. En ese momento, sonó por los altavoces la banda sonora de la película. Un simpático gesto que nos ganó.
Lo dicho, estés peregrinando o no, un sitio de obligada visita. Ellos son peregrinos y podrán ayudarte con cualquier duda.
De hecho, en la puerta hay un cartel en el que se ofrecen a ello.

Fue el sitio que elegimos en nuestra visita a Santo Domingo.
Una estancia especial, un bar encantador por el cariño y sus riquísimos platos. Buena atención y calidad es su especialidad. 🤗💕🌻🎼👣
En este establecimiento la comida está muy bien, los postres muy buenos ideal si estás de paso

I was recently on vacation in Spain - Santo Domingo de la Calzada and had been looking for a decent place to eat. Happened to talk some pilgrims walking the Camino, and they referred me to this restaurant.
They told me the food was delightful, the staff friendly and the pricing of their menu was good, so I set it upon myself to go there to validate it myself.
And boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise! Not only did the restaurant have a good vibe, it was actually owned by a couple who walked the Camino last year. They meet each other while walking the Camino in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, and after finishing walking, decided to give back to the pilgrims and opened a restaurant - Wanderlust - some time later. Smiling, cheerful owners as well as employees who love to share their story. The actual restaurant is decorated with mementos from their journey, and pilgrims have the option of getting a stamp in their Pilgrim Passport.
After ordering my food, I didn't have to wait for long before the starter arrived - a tortilla. My main course was a honey glazed chicken with a fresh salad and oven potatoes and finished with a brownie with ice cream on top. For all that, including a glass of white wine, I paid only 14€!
The food was beautiful arranged, tasted excellent and the waiter stopped by at each meal, to ask if all was to my liking.
With all this in mind, I give five BIG stars and can whole heartily recommend this place to new and returning customers.

An absolut gem! Fantastic food! I enjoyed the meny de pelegrino of the evening with many available options. The starter, mixed salad was out of this world! And the main dish, honey glaced chicken with patatas fritas and another lovely side salad was nothing but excellent. As postre a banana split...Score! This lovely couple opened Wanderlust in July '19 and is a must travelling past or spending a day/evening in Santo Domingo. Mil gracias!
I had the two vegan plato del dias after my ninth day on the Camino. Exceptional food. Incredibly fresh, delicious and nutritious. And the staff couldn’t have been more kind and engaging.

Very nice place with wonderful hosts. They met at the camino some time ago and decided to stay at the path. I’ll get back here some day for sure! Thank You for your hospitality!!!
My sister and I recently spent 2 days in Santo Domingo and were so pleased to have found Restaurant Wanderlust. We ate there twice. They have an international menu which is unusual for the area. The baked cheese & peppers, and the chickpea & sweet potato curry were delectable. The decor is funky and well-suited for pilgrims. The owners are a delightful couple and the entire staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Wanderlust.
