Back Street

Stopped by for dinner this evening. The food was fine enough but the service was rather disappointing. Our server forgot to enter our appetizer order so it arrived half an hour after we finished our entrees. We were still charged full price for the apps. While I understand staffing shortages, I do expect the bill to reflect such errors when they are made.

We had the fried mushrooms as an app, the haddock special with coleslaw and fries for my wife and the chicken cordon Bleu with mash and green beans for myself. There wasn't one part of this that wasn't excellent! The drinks were well made and they did not skimp on the alcohol. Beyond the food, the staff was quick and friendly as well. There is plenty of parking off the street available. The atmosphere was excellent. We would highly recommend anyone to give this place a try and after such a spectacular first visit we will definitely be back.

Atmosphere was very nice. Up stairs Service was slow even though there was only a few customers. Food was bland not cooked to order. Burgers over cooked and didn’t get fries with order had to ask for them and wait even longer for them. Stay was 1 hour 42 minutes for a hamburger and a beer. Party of 4. Table next to us that came in 30 minutes after us was served there food before us. Our food was offered to 3 other tables then taken back out of bar area , server came back in and asked bartender who’s food it was . she didn’t know. We had to flag him down to say it was ours . Very disappointed.

Couple things, The buffalo chicken dip the first time we went (2 years ago) was actually the best I've had. I've ordered it twice since then and both times I was extremely disappointed. It was basically pulled chicken with a buffalo sauce drizzle. We just got takeout tonight and although I enjoyed my grounded mac and cheese my wife's broccoli chicken alfredo was made with Ragu. I'm trying to support local businesses here. I don't mind shelling out the cash to pay for it, but my wife could've gotten better chicken alfredo at Applebee's and it would've been cheaper too.

Just had the St.Pats Day corned beef lunch for $20.00. AWFUL!!!! The corned beef couldn't be cut with a steak knife, the cabbage was raw, and it was cold! Six other people ordered the same and each complained! Told the waitress it wasn't her fault but should tell the chef and she said the chef didn't make it but got meals from an outside vendor!
