Dairy Queen

Pulled in the drive thru at 4:00 pm. Was greeted by “We can’t serve sundaes right now”. So I asked for 2 chili cheese dogs and was immediately told we don’t serve food after 4pm. I stated it was exactly 4 and his reply was “We don’t serve food after 4”. Did not ask if he could help with anything else just silence.

I apologize because I am not here to wreck a business or hurt an employee, but whoever you have working there now should be replaced. Hates his job, worse than McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King employees with a ho-hum attitude and doesn't say thank you. I know times are tough for employees, so unfortunately we live in a society that we have to accept below mediocrity. But this took the cake and I can not stop at this place any longer. Pulled up, the same awful guy is working (long hair, beard) and says "we are closed for a few minutes". This is 2ish. I thought he would say something isn't working, but he said "I am in the bathroom and the only one working". Wow! I said, "ok, I can wait a minute". He said, "it will be 20 minutes". BYE. How gross and nasty is that. I would rather hear a lie and say all machines are down. I feel bad for the guy and at least he is trying, but management HAS to talk to this guy. Good luck and feel bad, but that is just too weird and gross.

I would not even give them a 1 star but had no choice. It’s very frustrating for the past couple weeks we only serving chocolate and half the candy for the blizzards are not available. If I drive to the good Dairy Queen my ice cream would be melted by the time I got home. Plus the hours suck. It’s summer time where ice cream is in high demand. Fix the issues this community really wants a dependable place to get ice cream.

I’ve given this place 3 tries. Never had good or friendly service. Every time the blizzard was basically vanilla ice cream. When I asked about it the 2 girls could have cared less and were very rude. I’ve read the other reviews and see that they all get the same standard response. Basically they are going to continue the same bad service no matter what. I won’t go back and I’ll def spread the word.

I understand that there’s a staff shortage but if you’re going to close early it would only make sense to put a sign on the door or on the drive thru speaker. All it says on the door is that they’re currently only serving customers through their drive thru. I’m sympathetic to their situation, but it takes 5 seconds to put signs out.

Apparently they close at 4 because of being short staffed. Their speaker is broken so once I got to the window I ordered a blizzard only to be told that the machine is “down” which we all know is never true. Who closes at 4 on a Friday? Why not open later so you can stay open later? Also stop cleaning your blizzard machine early and telling people “it’s down”.
