Brannan Schlitz Bbq

Can i get an extra star for this place. It should be 6/5. This place is AMAZING. Thier food is always amazing and it never disappoint. The price is fair for the amount of food you are getting. This is the BEST place to get BBQ in all Sanford maybe even all NC. They also do catering which is pretty awesome!!!

Just ate here for the first time. I was not impressed. They get alot of really good reviews and I love BBQ, so I wanted to try this place out. I got a 2 meat combo of brisket and chicken breast. The brisket was a little smoky from the wood and I thought it was chewy. Could be from how they sliced it. The chicken was decent. Mac and cheese was ok and the green beans needed salt. Sweet tea needed more sugar. They also didn't have banana pudding for dessert. Most bbq restaurants have that. All they had was pound cake and chocolate chip cookies. I know they work hard and I may like other stuff they have. But I personally don't think people in lee county knows what true BBQ is.

Ok so not the best I’ve had (MidWood BBQ in Charlotte is the best!) but good enough for the area that I’m in. I was really excited about this place because not too many people (if any) in Sanford do brisket. The brisket was delicious! And the bbq sauce- I could drink it! I had a 2 meat plate with 2 sides. Brisket was obviously one of the meats, the other was ribs. Sides included Mac and cheese and garlic mash. My issue with the ribs- they were microwaved to get hot- resulting in overwhelmingly dry meat and making it inedible to eat. The garlic mash was ok. I love garlic so person I would have wanted a slightly more garlic taste. The mac and cheese just needed more of a binder and slightly more salt. I would definitely order the brisket all day andddddd maybe try a dessert or different meat. The lemonade and tea was amazing. I had a sip and then purchased a whole jug. When making the request for the tea it was a enjoyable experience with the owner being very friendly. Again, I would go back if not for the brisket and lemonade alone. Also, an unsuspecting corn muffin in the box.
