Colosseum Restaurant

Let’s start off with place itself. I used to come here a lot 2 years ago before the pandemic and the food was great and everything… 2 years later thought still be the same service somewhat. I WAS WRONG ! I was pretty upset on my meal. Besides the staff being good and communicating, I think the chef or the whole kitchen got to go. I was there for 4-5pm around opening time so I kinda expected the food to be fresh. My food was warm as if it was sitting. I couldn’t even eat the rest to be honest because I felt like gagging. The meat to my meatballs was as rough as fully cooked steak and the cheese was still a block inside. I honestly think you guys should have a meeting and team up to better the place. Esp the tables and ceilings. Bathrooms were on point as should be. All I’m saying is that my food should be smoking hot esp at 5pm

Dinner on a Tuesday afternoon. We were greeted and sat down immediately, the restaurant was about half full. Our Server, Nancy, was wonderful. Super nice, friendly, and always knew the perfect time to check in on us. The decor is lovely and the seating very comfortable. We got the fried ravioli, delicious, light, crisp crust and full of creamy ricotta cheese. The marinara dipping sauce stole the show though......I could have drank it straight out of the dish!! My son got the chicken broccoli and ziti. Chicken was perfectly cooked, a little crispy outside and juicy inside, broccoli perfect al dente too. He loved it. I had the chicken cutlet parmesan. The chicken took up most of the plate, it was huge. Perfectly breaded and crisp, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. I had linguini with it and it was also perfectly al dente. This was my first time there in over 10 years, I live out of state, but will definitely return. Thank you!!

Perfectly cooked eggplant appetizer. Pasta in our entrees was fresh, homemade, and delicious. Very tasty marsala sauce. However, I would have preferred my veal to have been breaded. Lemon drop martini was top notch. Also, on a side note, when my family and I entered the restaurant, we were greeted right away by a friendly, attentive host. Sometimes that's hard to come by. Great server, and wonderful meal.

Full disclosure: all I got here was a drink. The drink - an espresso martini - was delightful, and my compatriots tried their signature lemoncello martinis and also HD high praise. I saw a man devour a plate of pasta on the other side of the bar. He was alone. I don't know his story, but he seemed to like the food.

Underwhelming average and overpriced... The pasta was not fully cooked and chewey, and the veal like rubber...they have no business as it is and they want to jack up the prices? If the bartender spent more time perfecting his craft and less time flirting with the server he would be ok.... Looks a little old for her anyway
