Joe's Crab Shack

Got the Fish and Chips Lunch and it was plentiful and cooked to perfection! Asked for an outdoor table by the water like usual. I've been coming here for over 20 yrs and love the fish with a seafood topping prior, but now the Fish and Chips is where it's at (for me). Friendly server and manager too. Looking forward to going back again soon.

It was so beautiful to sit out by the water as the sun went down and flicks of birds circled overhead. The food was pretty good. Expensive. But the atmosphere made it worth it. I would never go there and sit inside thought. The restroom entrance was so very cool to look at with lots of old photos and album covers!!!

The food was ok, not great for the price and our waiter was forgetful and told us 35 minutes after we ordered that one of the dishes was not available. The manager came out to apologize but nothing was done on our bill to compensate for our extended wait time and having to choose another dish that was just ok.

About my 5th time there, when I'm travelling through. Food has always been good. Definitely get full here. Only issues are parking and the fact that the city won't do anything about the homeless trying to bum off you. You'd think they would clean up the old town on the river, one of their main tourist attractions, but that isn't the restaurant's fault, and the dining experience has always been good for me.

It's always a fun place to eat. When we arrived around 7:30p on a Friday it was crowded and the bar was very busy. We waited about 10 min to order a drink at the bar, the bartenders were friendly and apologized about the waut. We waited about 30 min for a table. When we got our table, the place had emptied out, which was great because the staff were able to be very attentive. I had a shrimp, crab cakes, and fish (battered cod) basket. The popcorn shrimp weren't anything to call home about, but the fish was perfectly fried, not greasy, and the large shrimp were also delicious. The crab cakes were also very good. The coleslaw was okay, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Overall I enjoyed my meal very much and would recommend it. Just beware when it's crowded, the wait can be long, and the service may suffer.

As a lover of seafood I was drawn to this spot. I realized this was a franchise but it sounded awesome. Had the seafood linguine. This was very pricey, as a Canadian, its even more, but, I would say it was worth it. The pasta was cooked perfectly, I don't think it was freshly made pasta but it was good. The sauce was very tasty and tomatoey. There was just the right amount of sauce to dip the bread and have a very saucy bite every time. The bread was good. Onto the star, the seafood, wow, I can see why it was so expensive. As you can see from the photo its chock full of everything you could ever want in a seafood linguine. Would buy it again if I was ever near a franchise location and looking to splurge on a nice seafood dinner. I love it when takeout is as good as dine in and my car felt like a 5 star restaurant, smelled like it too!

It was my first time here. The views and the vibe of the whole downtown area and restaurants was fun. We got lucky and didn't have to wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon. Mandy, our waitress was friendly and outgoing, the appetizers and drinks came out with no issues. We placed our order, my boyfriend and my son got their food. I insisted they eat because I thought mine would be out soon. They were done eating, and I still had not received my food. Mand was very apologetic. I don't blame anyone. It was busy. A manager did finally get my food, which was good, however I asked for a to go box right away as my boys were done and ready to go. The same manager also removed my order from our final bill, which I didn't ask for but I thought was fair. All in all, nice place, good food. Thank you
