Big Red Hen has a great range of meals, not just chicken. I ended up with a beef burger and chips. The burger was very tasty and had a substantial piece of beetroot in it (which was very impressive). I ordered my chips without salt and that's how they were served and they were perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and full of flavour.

Good old fashioned milkbar takeaway. They have all the classics like potato scallops, chicko roll, fish & chips + roast chicken. They also have fresh salads. Across the road from the park and open till 8pm 7 days a week.

The best takeaway shop in the hawkesbury by far. Excellent quality food would definitely recommend the burger with the lot and a side of chicken chippies. Also they have the friendliest staff every time I go their, all round its perfect.

I used Big Red Hen for event catering. Daniel was super helpful and worked within my budget and timeframes to provide multiple menu options. Variety, quantity and quality were excellent. Event participants were very impressed and provided positive feedback. I would highly recommend Big Red Hen and will definitely use them again for casual lunch catering.

Extremely pleased with the chicken schnitzel deal, chicken pieces were sliced, with a generous serving of gravy, crispy chips throughout and peas on the side as well. All at a bargain of a price, was definitely happy and would come back for second during a subsequent visit to Richmond.

They won’t let me give this more than 5 stars. Absolutely amazing, the food is nearly as good as the service, which is top quality.
They made me a regular with a single visit, can’t recommend this place enough!

This food is absolutely wonderfull this has been my 4th Vist here and I have tried a far bit of the menu the chips are absolutely beautiful the chicken is so juicy and tender and just falls right off the bone the salad is so fresh and tasty I like that they use 100% beef brisket it puts such a beautiful taste to the burger it is all so fresh and tasty I defiantly will be back

As a local and also a food lover i am picky with what i rave about but the wings and chicken at big red hen are awesome hands down best wings in sydney the buffalo wings are my favorite abit of a kick and so much flavor the chicken just falls off the bone and especially the $10 for half a kilo on Wednesday is my weekly treat.
