Takeaway order of bao burger, katsu curry, veggie tempura and dumplings. Bao burger had so much sauce and not a lot of chicken. Would need to eat 3 to be full which I didn’t expect with the title burger. Curry good value at $9.90 and way more chicken than the burger… dumplings tasty however no sauce provided with them. Tempura decent but again no sauce and 6 small pieces for $12. Potential but not something I will race back for.

I got some take away from here. Initially the Katsu King chicken burger was really tasty, and it was served on a rice bun. The bun was good and the chicken pretty tasty. Not wanting 2 burgers I ordered some katsu chicken baos. Well I thought I did but I only got 1 bao which was ok, but it was exactly the same as the burger so not the best value. The veggie gyoza were tasty, the takoyaki was alright, and the miso soup quite tasty. The cheesy tofu bento was a good vegetarian dish, and this was worth ordering. Overall this was a pretty tasty meal.

I discovered this place in the heart of Richmond, and it has been four times that my palate has feasted on its delicious dishes (Japanese tapas) that combine different flavors, aromas and colors. Everything I have tasted is delicious, from the potato chips that have a special flavor, through the chicken, gyosas, salads, to their specialty that is Shushi. As in any Japanese restaurant, I always hope the staff is friendly, and this restaurant is not the exception: its waitresses are too friendly, clean and fair.
