Been ordering wings from here for the last few months and we can't rave enough about them. The flavor is amazing, without having to drown them in sauce. They have a hint of sweetness to them but just a little. We started to order weekly! The mac n cheese... well, it was a little watery and not too flavorful so we probably won't get again but we finally tried a soul roll yesterday (the chicken, collard and mac n cheese one) it was delicious! Looking forward to trying another flavor. Really wish they would bring back the shrimp n grits one, would love to try it. Service is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. Its so worth the drive out there to order from them!

The Best chicken wings around! Crispy, golden brown on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. These wings are not tasteless, like at some other places, where you have to smother the wings in a sauce just to make them taste good. LBJ's @ Traditionz wings are full of flavor from the outside to the inside. Cooked to perfection. The service is friendly, the prices are fair and the chef is off the hook! This is my go to place for wings from now on!

This place really redeemed itself. I received excellent service the last time I ordered from here. The staff was friendly and engaging. I like how they have ppl wait in their cars after placing or paying for their orders and they bring the food to the car hot and fresh. Please keep up the friendly, welcoming environment. I was thoroughly impressed!

This was my first visit to this restaurant since they changed names and ownership. My book club and I came (party of 6) on a Thursday night (7pm) during Richmond Black Restaurant Experience week. There were multiple servers who assisted us through the night and they were pleasant and I throughly felt they appreciated our business. However, it did take a while for us to get menus and the entire party didn't receive flatware until after our food arrived. (One waitress did state she thought we'd like to wait to see menus once the entire party arrived.) The waitress who took our orders was the sweetest and answered all of our questions and gave us her personal feedback on the menu items. Loved that! My biggest complaint was that I ordered a cup of hot tea but it was more luke warm. My corn bread was the first thing out and I was so glad! For one I was starving. Secondly, it was large, warm, and moist. They even add real corn kernels to it which reminds me of my how my grandmother would make her corn bread. It was so good I took a picture after everyone sampled it The soul roll was different but I loved the crunch that the egg roll provided in contrast to the ingredients. However, my table definitely wished there was a soul roll that included yams and macaroni and cheese. The turkey wings I'd give a 7/10 they were very tasty and I loved the gravy but the under parts of the wing were a little dry compared to the wing tip and skin. Overall I was pleased with my side choices. My $19.99 special also came with dessert and I ordered the banana pudding and was not disappointed (cause you can't eat everyone's banana pudding)! I also ordered a catfish basket to go and reheated it in my toaster oven. The flavor on the fish...muah! I loved the amount of food I received for the price I paid. So value was a plus. And I always extend patience when I'm eating in large groups. There were only a few mix ups in ordering amongst our party (shrimp instead of Wingettes and banana pudding instead of bread pudding). Also one of my friends had to turn around because she wasn't given her piece of corn bread to go but hadn't gotten far and had no issues when she went back in. I'll definitely be back to try something else!

Okay, so I've driven pass this place for over a year now, thinking it would be a dirty little hole in the wall... but I was wrong! I've been going to another Soul Food place for years, and America's Best for Wings and Fish but not anymore. The food is amazing, so good I'm thinking about going back tomorrow. The service was fast, and the waitress was very informative about what they offered. My only complaint is they close really early, but I understand it's a small business. 😊 Happy New Customer as long as it remains consistent.
