This is my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Richmond! I absolutely love their vegetarian menu, it is quite extensive and the flavors for everything that we have ordered are exquisite. I don’t especially love their veg mock Mongolian beef and mock hot and spicy beef! You don’t typically see these types of dishes available for vegetarians at most chinese restaurants and I am really grateful for the bounty of options. Also, you can’t go wrong with a cup of their hot and sour soup, so comforting and flavors are well-balanced.

My wife and I got the vegetable lo mein and the mock orange chicken. Both were very tasty. The mock orange chicken was AMAZING. It was crispy, hot (temperature-wise), and sweet. It was actually so sweet that my we both commented that it tasted like a dessert. I definitely recommend eating it with the white rice that comes with it to balance out the syrupy sweetness. The broccoli tasted really fresh too. We’ll definitely be back to try more mock chicken dishes! Their vegetarian menu is huge! There are some reviews mentioning bad service. I will say the woman who took my order on the phone and gave us our food at the restaurant was pretty short with me. I did kind of get the sense that we were annoying her by ordering at her restaurant. It didn’t bother me too much since we were getting takeout anyways, and honestly the food was good enough that I’d endure the poor service again.

Ordered takeout for dinner last night and highly recommend! I really don’t understand the negative comments about the service here. I found the staff extremely efficient—I placed my order over the phone in seconds and picked it up 10 minutes later. Portions were big, prices affordable, and everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try the lunch specials!

Really great food for the price! The lunch special is an especially good deal, and all of the sides and appetizers were delicious and fairly priced as well. I was surprised by how large the portions were for the lunch special as specials like these at comparable takeout places tend to be heavy on the rice and light on the proteins, veggies and sauce. The scallion pancakes were especially a hit. The free delivery was an unexpected surprise that we also appreciated. The gal on the phone was a bit abrasive, but it wouldn’t deter us from ordering again in a heartbeat.
