The Speakeasy Grill

First visit here today and it did not disappoint. Excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. And they were able to fit us in in 30 minutes without a reservation! The food was great! We had Yardbird and Waffles, and Eggs and sausage. Everything tasted very fresh and you could tell grease was fresh for the bird. We'll definitely be back. Only thing to note: Table behind us was annoyed that the cheese was white instead of yellow so just be aware of that if you have a preference.

I had a lovely brunch with my daughter at Speakeasy Grill, it was a wonderful Experience ,Reminding me of Historical Days Gone Past on 2ed St . The Servers were very Professional ,the food was prepared by a Maestro that aloud my tastebuds to dance a worldly Ballet. Thank You PS . Please Acknowledge the guess upon entering establishment. Speakeasy Grill ranks as my favorite brunch spot in Richmond. Great ambience. Wonderful service. Fantastic food. The historic home espouses a rich history of the African American experience in Jackson Ward. Oh! And the cocktails are on point. My only request is that they open on Saturday as well as Sundays. Perfect place for Sunday brunch.

I work right around the corner and have had lunch from here a good amount of times and have never been disappointed once. Whether it’s the gumbo, the chicken sandwich, their wings, or even a burger, everything is good here! The food is perfectly seasoned and well portioned. I went there for happy hour once and had the Lena Horne and it was a great cocktail. I definitely feel like this place is underrated bc the food is awesome and the decor is nice, but it’s pretty empty when I go. But y’all have earned a loyal customer out of me. I’m hoping that the live band starts to come back bc it’s be a fun thing to do after work.
