Great experience....enjoying a variety of small plate selections by the chef! I think my party of four received a total of 11 small plate offering for each guest. All were delicious and artfully presented!

I was treated here for my birthday and didn’t know what to expect. I have heard so much about Longoven and was excited to try the 13 course tasting. The tasting was absolutely wonderful and such a experience. All the courses were beautifully plated and each dish was as wonderful as the next! Can’t wait to come back here and do the tasting again. If your not interested in the tasting you are also able to order a la cart, and sit at the bar with no reservations needed. After each plate the table was cleared and cleaned by the exceptional staff. The restaurant was dark and had a very cozy feel. Love how the darkness of the restaurant keeps you focused of the food and presentation. Each plate was explained to us in detail while other staff presented the food. The place was very clean and staff was exceptional. They have an great patio as well that will soon be serving food and drinks. Amazing place! Richmond has some of the best restaurants.

Great place to experiment with some interesting dishes. This place has nice cocktails & wine that compliment the dishes served at the bar or the 6 or 10 course meals. I tried the 6 courses and none of the dishes disappointed. They have a lot of tables for couples. A great place to come on a weekday when they are a bit more freed up and surprise your significant other.

Amazing experience.
The service matched the quality of food to make our overall 10-course tasting an experience to remember. The outdoor patio was gorgeously assembled and the staff was perfectly choreographed to be accommodating without being a distraction.
The meal itself? Outstanding. Each course built on the last with more standout dishes than we have found in the Michelin star tastings that we've been able to experience.
This is the most creative restaurant in Richmond right now.

Enthralling sensory experience that's difficult to fully capture through photos alone. Every taste was perfect and each wine pairing was divine. Many thanks to our waitress and sommelier for their top notch, attentive service. While I was here to celebrate a job promotion and appreciated the congratulatory desserts at the end of the meal, I can't wait to return, especially to sample and experience the menu as it evolves for each season. Yet another outstanding Richmond, VA, fine dining experience that lives up to high expectations! I also appreciated their Covid precautions and vaccine requirement. Thank you!

Impeccable. One of the best dining experiences you will ever have. Décor (love the ambience and bathrooms), service, food, wine, mood. Have indoor and outdoor seating. Kitchen is remarkably calm - often you hear chefs yelling and screaming but not here. And actually pretty decent value for what you get. Great for special occasions. And service not too slow (sometimes I find degustation set menus can be too slow). Menu apparently changes regularly but a heavy seafood focus. Every single dish was heavenly. My #1 though was the crab. I also like they are taking COVID delta seriously and ask for vaccination proof. Well done to all involved.

Five-star restaurant with a five-star owner. Yes, the food is fantastic. And the wine pairing is TERRIFIC. Yes, the design is fabulous and the ambiance is wonderful. Yes, the staff will go above and beyond. But our chance encounter with Chef Patrick Phelan is what got Longoven the absolute solid-gold stamp in our book. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more warm, gracious, and authentic chef/owner. He made our evening especially memorable and we can't wait to return. Whitney & Michael

Truly the best dining experience in Richmond! The service is impeccable, food is one of a kind, and the atmosphere completes this special gem in Scott’s Addition. Our table had the fall pre fix menu (photos attached). Highly recommend!

Where do I even begin... Longoven is amazing. I stopped by for dinner yesterday evening and was surprised to find a restaurant like this in Richmond! The food dishes are beautifully presented and expertly prepared. In short, there is nothing else like this in Richmond. The service, food and experience is top notch. Do your taste buds a favor and visit. I can't wait to come back.

In this case, “best restaurant” means that this is the only restaurant in Richmond serving this quality of food at this level of service. Literally everything we had, from the cocktails to the savory food to the desserts was delicious and complex, was plated (or poured) beautifully, and served professionally. The serving staff have clearly been very well trained. The menu is somewhat pricey, but for the quality of food it’s very reasonable. The desserts alone are worth a visit.
