Scoop

Scoop is an excellent choice! The flavors are creative and reliably fresh and good. The service is always friendly and efficient, despite the lines that sometimes form. A little pricey, so this is a treat, but in line with similar artisanally-made ice cream and for this neighborhood. I like their seasonal variety and the outdoor hangout space. Feels like a real neighborhood place and adds so much to the charm of Strawberry Street.

Stumbled upon this shop after dinner and we're too stuffed to stop in, so we made sure to visit the next day. Flavors were different but delicious and well balanced. We did a trio, then added on another scoop. Came back the next day and got to meet the owner! She was so sweet and definitely excited to be doing what she's doing. Their waffle cones are phenomenal...definitely recommend doing that. And I thought it was a nice touch that sprinkles and cone pieces were complimentary additions.

This place is a store front and considerate of overcrowding. Allowed 2 groups at a time inside. Surprisingly, people follow directions. Very clean inside and the staff were friendly. Sad, no butter pecan flavor, it's seasonal! But that Carmel Blondie.....let the church say AMEN. The blondie brownie was chopped and mixed in the ice cream, and it wasn't hard. Glory....it was so darn GOOD. The kid was happy, as our RVA ice cream tour continued. He enjoyed the mint cookie with waffle cone. No photo he inhaled it. Cute little waiting area outside in front of the store available if you want to hang around while you enjoy the sweet treat. Vegan & Gluten free options.... We shall be back. Bae had to work, so he missed the fun.

Scoop ice cream has the most exquisite flavors you could dream of at an incredible price! Not to mention, customer service is on point. Friendly, smiling faces. This is my favorite dessert spot in all of Richmond.

Great homemade ice cream! Variety of innovative & clever flavors. Found on Strawberry St in museum district. Don't be put off by the lines outside. It's due to limited ppl allowed inside at one time. The wait is worth the relaxed, spacious atmosphere once you step inside. Single cups are 2 scoops one or two flavors for $4.50. I had blackberry & sweet corn w pieces of corn bread, combined w mocha. My wife chose baklava and creme brulee. Yes! These were flavors, not parts of our entrées. Shakes & sundaes can be purchased as well.

This is my favorite ice cream shop in Richmond, I go there multiple times a month. I've tried so many of their flavors and they're always spot on. I love that they have such unique flavors as well, that's one of the most important qualities I look for in an ice cream place. Some that I love are brown sugar cookie dough & tahini and halva. I know that they're planning on releasing a baklava flavor sometime this year, and I'm really looking forward to that. It's a cute little shop on a cute street!
