Positive Vibe Cafe

I made my first visit today for lunch and was immediately impressed with the comfortable atmosphere in the room. All of the employees were welcoming and actually seemed to care about their jobs—becoming a rarity in many restaurants in this price range! My medium-rare bison burger was excellent. On my next visit, I’ll go for their apple cider slaw over the sweet potato fries. (I may be seduced into ordering the vegan calamari, primarily out of curiosity—heart of palm instead of squid or octopus.) All in all, it was a very very pleasant lunch. We’ll have to go back for the dinner menu.

Vegan and vegetarian options! This our go-to place when we can’t decide where to eat because their food is so good and have quite a variety. Good beer selection. Not a great wine selection. Full bar. Live music on some nights. The music is good but it can be loud so check for live music before you go if that’s not your thing.

From the time we got there until the time we left this was a wonderful experience. This is such a wonderful concept, and the food is incredibly good. All right, I really wanted a burger, not my usual food offering. But it was absolutely fabulous. The best I have had in months. Grilled to perfection, and served with an amazing side of sweet potato slaw. My wife's brussel sprouts tacos were thoroughly enjoyed by her, and even though I find brussel sprouts a complete anathema, I had to admit that this was the best use of time that I have ever found. Do yourself a favor, try it!

This is my second time at this place. Today I was here to support my sorority and their event. The staff here is very friendly and I really love the idea behind this place that they train people with disabilities. The food is very good as well. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the vegan gold trio chipotle fall soup. The table ordered two way tots and the vegan maple glazed roasted brussels sprouts for appetizers.

1st time at Max's even though I've known about it for years. Technically went to hear a band but ate dinner as well. The acoustics were great and the band (The Hullabaloo's) sounded awesome. The food was delicious. I had the Winter soup and 1/2 sandwich, plate. The soup was a combination of Butternut squash and pumpkin puree, spices, bourbon and cream topped with slivered almonds and pumpkin seeds and the sandwich was turkey, Brie cheese, spinach and cranberries, grilled to perfection. Both were awesome. Our waitress was also the bartender and she made the night even better because she was genuinely happy to be there, smiling, polite and attentive.

A perfectly wonderful dining experience. The food is extraordinary - always serving the best burgers and don't forget to ask for the sweet potato fries! Seafood dishes are delicious and are paired with the freshest vegetables and herbs. Vegan is always an option too!You can always count on the freshest ingredients and a beautiful presentation. The waite staff are great. They easily accommodate tweaks to your order - extra this and none of that, or how about a substitute ingredient. My drink never gets more than half empty, and don't forget to leave room for homemade desserts! Always kind and considerate. You won't want to miss this gem. Locally owned too.

The menu has something for everyone. The appetizer “tot’s life” is really great! I highly recommend that for all ages. Good beer selection, attentive service, and most importantly, fresh, well prepared, delicious food. The atmosphere is nice and not too loud so you can actually have a conversation everyone at the table can hear. I recommend it for families or for those wanting a yummy meal and the ability to actually have a conversation at their table.

love this cozy restaurant ... great food you can't get elsewhere and very affordable! Love the concept of this place in training those with disabilities. Had a private party here a couple years ago and the help with planning the event was great. Staff was great in accommodating my wishes and everyone who attended were very impressed. I know new customers were gained that night. If you are disabled and looking for a great accessible restaurant, this is the place :)

Celebrated an anniversary lunch with my husband at the Cafe on Sunday afternoon. We ordered the burgers and they were truly one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Every bite was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be going back again soon! The service was great and everyone was so friendly. I have already told several friends about our wonderful meal.
