Man Oh Man!! I'm Telling You!! This Is Real Soul Food!!! When You Walk In The Door, You Can Smell The Fried Chicken, Fried Fish!! Collared Greens Candied Yams !! We Came All The Way From California To Celebrate My Daughter's Graduation From Virginia State University!! She Received Her BA Degree In Psychology!! I'm So Proud Of Her!! Y'all Need To Open Up A Restaurant In California!! We Really Enjoyed The Food!!

The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. And they can be pretty convincing when it comes to the variety of cakes! My waistline was expanding thinking about them. I went with a native of Richmond and she said the prices had increased exponentially. However, unless you can devour a large plate of food, I had enough for lunch the next day. I had the fried fish with onions, peppers, and cheese and it was delish! Never thought fish and cheese went well together but it did! Don’t skip the cornbread! The two of us ate for $50 and this didn’t include extra sides or dessert. We did have hot tea because that day was pretty chilly. I look forward to the next visit to try the dessert!

Tried this restaurant at Richmond. I heard this was popular around the Va location, so I was excited to try the food here. The food took a long time to come. The corn bread and the shrimp and grits were very sweet, and I didn't like it. It was more of a shrimp gravy, totally different than other places where shrimp and grits are creamier. However, other entres were good. Overall, it was nice, and I will try them out again.

So happy my daughter thought about this spot. We was seated quickly and soon greeted by our server Jamilla with a big smile and she was so helpful from start to finish. The food was amazing. Fast, Fresh and Hot and zero complaints. If you're n the richmond area give them a try, you won't be disappointed

We visited the Croaker’s Spot on Labor Day. We planned to visit another restaurant but it was closed and lucky for us because the food here was good! We ordered the Eggleston’s Fried Fish Boat and Famous Fish and Shrimp Fry. We substituted one of the sides for mac and cheese. The food was nostalgic and gave me a sense of home. The fish tasted like it came out of my grandma’s kitchen years ago. The mac tasted like my family cooked it as well. The cornbread was huge…I didn’t finish it all but it was good. I would recommend this place.
