Koh Thai Port Solent

I personally love thai flavours and this place is perfect for thai food. Lots of choice, every item on the menu looks tempting. Really big portions so bear in mind before you order lots of starters like we did! A huge choice for cocktails/mocktails. This is a newer Koh Thai as there is another one in Southsea. I prefer this one as there’s parking at Port Solent.

We had been to the WInchester restaurant and that was good. Based on the boardwalk at Port Solent - plenty of car parking available. Many access points onto the boardwalk, even for those who have some mobility issues. The restaurant have outside lower dining area, inside lower level dining area and then the same upstairs. There is a lift to the upstairs inside of the restaurant. The team are all friendly, professional and attentive. The menu and food are very good. Drinks range is very good also there is something for everyone. I would highly recommend a visit.

We were here for lunch in a sunny weekday, there were not many guests, only three tables of them, the place is very cozy with great harbor view. Waiter is very friendly and kitchen is fast to serve what we ordered. We ordered Green Curry Chicken with rice, recommended. Tom Yum Soup, it’s a bit too sour, not every one can accept it. It’s a great place in a sunny day.

Not sure why there so many negative reviews, the food we ordered was great, the ice teas really good as well. Starters were nice and the mains were very tasty, someone in the reviews said the Tesco curry is better than the restaurant one, maybe those people should just eat at Tesco then. Our curry was amazing. Will come back for sure.

Koh Thai in Port Solent is a fantastic Thai restaurant that provides an excellent dining experience. We tried the beef stir-fry and the red Thai chicken curry, both of which were outstanding. The beef stir-fry was cooked to perfection with tender pieces of beef and crispy vegetables, all tossed in a savory sauce that was bursting with flavor. The red Thai chicken curry was equally delicious, with a rich and creamy sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the dish was served with fragrant jasmine rice. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the quality and taste of the food at Koh Thai in Port Solent. With a great atmosphere, excellent service, and a fantastic menu, Koh Thai is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a memorable Thai dining experience. We highly recommend it!
